Background
We are looking for a Corporate Development, Manager/VP. This will be a tremendous growth opportunity for the incumbent who will be directly involved in Group level strategic M&A activity, capital raising (debt capital markets and equity), and deal structuring. This role works closely with senior management teams across our countries of operation, reporting directly to the Group Head of Corporate Development.
Job Responsibilities
- Strategy development projects including:
- Sector research and go-to-market strategy
- Financial analysis and deal structuring
- Competitive analysis, market sizing and strategic opportunity evaluation
- Participate in any capital raising and M&A activity for Validus Group
- Serve as a key contact point assisting in queries from VC/PE firms, institutional investors, advisors, and shareholders
- Drive execution and project management for strategic initiatives, as a key contact point to external stakeholders, and internal teams
- Identify and track key local metrics & coordinate reporting across ASEAN operations to Singapore Headquarters
- Support all Group level fundraising, due diligence, and transaction work from end to end
- Support regional projects related to joint venture partnerships
- Tremendous growth opportunity – work closely with internal and external C-suite and Founders, build relationships with external stakeholders & gain real transaction experience
Job Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Business Management, Economics or equivalent
- MBA (preferred but not a compulsory requirement)
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience working in either investment banking, strategy consulting, or M&A team in reputable audit firm (someone with experience managing deal flow)
- Experience in sell-side deal advisory, including but not limited to financial modelling, financial analysis, CIM preparation, legal documentation management and due diligence preferred.
- Strong proficiency in English required, and another Asian language (Bahasa/Vietnamese/Thai/Chinese/Japanese) is advantageous
