Your role as a Nursery Manager includes-
• Becoming familiarised with the nursery's policies and procedures and supporting staff to follow these.
• Leading a team, encouraging and raising practice daily.
• Delegating tasks to the teams to ensure the smooth running of the rooms.
• Forming professional and friendly partnerships with parents and forming secure relationships with the children.
• Being a part of the Senior Management team to contribute to staff performance management and appraisals.
• Oversee display boards and the setting up of a stimulating, warm environment prepared for the children including the garden in accordance with the 7 areas of learning.
• Conducting peer observations and management spot checks. Focusing on the quality of interaction and the high levels of practice.
• Creating children's health care plans.
• Mentoring and training Deputy Managers & Room Leaders.
• Being involved in parent events.
• Monitoring all daily and weekly checks are completed to a high standard.
• To ensure professionalism and confidentiality at all times

Person Specification
• Level 3 in Childcare & Education and an extensive experience working within a Montessori classroom
• Montessori qualification from MCI /AMI London will be a Plus!
• Previous experience of working as a Nursery Manager & Deputy Manager is essential.
• The ability to deliver high-quality practice and be a role model for your team.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding procedures.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good ICT skills
