Timetabling
The Postholder will specifically be responsible for leading on Programme scheduling using CMIS, including:

Can we reduce the climate impacts of aircraft? As well as carbon dioxide, aircraft engines emit oxides of nitrogen (NOx). You will investigate how important these NOx emissions might be for climate and whether the climate effects are different in the northern and southern hemispheres. Do engine manufacturers need to reduce these NOx emissions?
The climate impact of aircraft is aggravated by the emissions of NOx. In the upper troposphere these emissions form ozone which is an important greenhouse gas, but they also increase the destruction of methane. The overall effect of aircraft NOx on climate is very uncertain. The ozone production is largest in the northern hemisphere, but the methane destruction is more even. Hence the net effect is likely to be different in the different hemispheres.
To work as part of a team within the NERC CRANE (Climate Response to Aviation NOx Emissions) project. This is a component of the NERC/Department for Transport programme – “Jet zero: aviation’s non-CO2 impacts on the climate”.
The main role is to set up and run simulations using the UK Earth system model (UKESM1.1), which includes representations of tropospheric and stratospheric chemistry, and to analyse the outputs from these. This will involve changing the emissions of NOx from aviation in the model to quantify how these changes affect the composition of the atmosphere (methane, ozone, stratospheric water vapour and aerosols), the radiative forcing and the full climate response on different hemispheres. This will be original research carried forward to publications in leading peer-reviewed journals, and presented at national and international scientific meetings.
The job holder will interact with project partners, attend project meetings, and contribute to the departmental research environment (e.g., seminars and group meetings).

The University of Reading is looking for a new member to join its CRM Team.
The role is to provide Support to the Dynamics 365 CRM Re-Implementation project, which is to implement an updated version of Dynamics 365 CRM to our user base. From helping to support the team in the delivery of Power Platform Apps and custom developments, to providing training and guiding users on how to use new features of it Dynamics 365 platform.

You will have that unique blend of skills that allow you to test, train and support our Dynamics 365 and Power Platform suite of applications. Working with both business users and our business partner to deliver a quality solution that meets the current and evolving needs of the University. A “can-do” way of thinking along with a customer focused approach to work is required.

The ideal candidate will have:

- Demonstrative experience in providing application support to a large user base of Dynamics CRM users.
- Excellent experience of administering Microsoft Dynamics 365, preferably in a cloud based environment
- At least 2 years’ experience of working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE and The Power Platform in a support capacity
- Knowledge and experience of working with Marketing applications that integrate with Dynamics 365
- Experience of configuring and customising Dynamics 365 applications using Power Platform, including PowerApps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
- Experience creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for system configurations, customizations, and development processes.
- Knowledge and experience of end to end testing and training end users
- Experience creating dashboards and manipulating data
- Experience of working in an Agile environment
- Knowledge and experience of working for a Higher Education Institution.
