In this position, you will be responsible for budgeting, planning, implementing, and reviewing all aspects of estate management to ensure that good agricultural practice and the company’s standard operating procedures are followed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of palm oil upstream operations, including plantation management, harvesting, and milling to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with regulatory standards and sustainable practices.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize production efficiency, yield, and quality while identifying opportunities for growth and expansion to achieve company objectives
• Lead and mentor a diverse team, fostering innovation and accountability.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance operational processes, cost-effectiveness, and safety performance.
• Oversee the financial performance to improve profitability.
• Implement strategies to meet KPIs and objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including local communities, government agencies, suppliers, and customers.
• Monitor market trends, competition, and industry developments for informed decision-making.
• Ensure adherence to ethical business practices, corporate governance, and social responsibility initiatives.
Key Requirements:
• Tertiary qualification in Plantation Management, Agricultural Science, Manufacturing, or related field of study
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the plantation sector
• Prior experience managing multiple plantation estates that’s 10,000 ha in size is ideal
• Prior experience in managing coastal and hilly estates is highly advantageous
• Solid working knowledge of budgeting Estate and HO, sales of BBF and CPO, business development, and strategic planning.
• Proven record of effective management of Company's Budget and Financial performance
• Thorough understanding of the regulatory environment governing the plantation/agriculture industry, including food safety, environmental, and labour regulations
• Efficient, strong work ethics – able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to analyse sustainability data and information, create interesting and engaging findings and present the information in a concise manner
• Ability to travel to remote locations within Indonesia
