We are seeking a skilled and motivated Pre-Sales Technical Consultant specializing in Identity and Access Management (IDAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions to join our team. As a key member of the pre-sales department, you will leverage your expertise in solutions from BeyondTrust, Quest, and Micro Focus to support sales efforts and drive business growth. You will collaborate closely with sales and technical teams to understand customer requirements, design tailored solutions, and deliver comprehensive proposals and demonstrations. Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Engagement: Collaborate with customers to understand their IDAM and PAM requirements, challenges, and objectives.
2. Solution Design: Work closely with sales teams to architect and position tailored IDAM and PAM solutions from BeyondTrust, Quest, and Micro Focus that address customer needs.
3. Product Demonstrations & Proof-of-Concepts: Conduct demonstrations, presentations, workshops, and proof-of-concepts (POC) to showcase the capabilities and benefits of the solutions.
4. Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support during the pre-sales process, including solution design, architecture discussions, and addressing customer-specific use cases.
5. Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, serving as a trusted advisor and ensuring satisfaction with proposed solutions.
6. Sales Cycle Support: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to identify opportunities, qualify leads, develop winning proposals and RFPs, and support contract negotiations.
7. Market Analysis & Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies in the IDAM and PAM space, incorporating this knowledge into customer engagements and solution strategies.
8. Internal Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to provide feedback on product features and enhancements. Collaborate with the Practice, Sales, and Alliances teams to coordinate efforts for closing deals effectively.
9. Sales Collateral Development: Contribute to the development of technical sales collateral, such as presentations, whitepapers, and case studies, to support the sales process.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Expertise:
Proven experience in pre-sales or technical sales with a focus on IDAM and PAM solutions.
Strong understanding of IDAM concepts (authentication, authorization, provisioning, access governance) and PAM technologies.
Hands-on experience with BeyondTrust (Password Safe, PRA), Quest (One Identity), and Micro Focus (NetIQ).
Knowledge of Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions and security practices in enterprise IT environments.
Certifications:
Certified Implementation Engineer on BeyondTrust (Password Safe) is required.
Additional relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, or other IDAM/PAM certifications) are desirable.
Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills:
Ability to translate customer requirements into actionable technical solutions.
Strong troubleshooting skills in session and password management for BeyondTrust.
Technical Knowledge:
Familiarity with Windows Terminal Server, Active Directory, LDAP directories, and REST APIs.
Experience with Auto IT Scripts, onboarding multiple systems (Windows, Linux, network devices, databases) to BeyondTrust, and configuring access policies and connection profiles.
Communication & Collaboration:
Excellent presentation, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to convey technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Industry Experience:
Minimum of 3+ years of experience working with BeyondTrust or other PAM solutions.
Experience leading medium to large PAM implementations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of experience in IDAM/PAM solutions, with specific expertise in BeyondTrust, Quest, and Micro Focus technologies.
