We are a commercial refit and domestic build company seeking a Contracts/Project Manager to assist in the delivery of our growing portfolio of works. You must be able to effectively manage contracts from inception to completion. This role presents an excellent prospect for a proactive individual to take responsibility for providing all core Contract and Project Management services on several interesting projects, for a wide range of clients.
What you'll need to succeed:
You will have managed a variety of construction and refurbishment projects from pre-start through to completion, leading teams, hiring and managing subcontractors, using your skills and experience to lead on projects to complete on time and budget. You will also be responsible for new business, sourcing and preparing tenders, meeting clients, undertaking quotation surveys.
Primary Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Pre-Contract Tendering & Procurement/Pre-Site:
Tender preparation and submission, site/scoping site visits, client quotations, attend pre-contract meetings, create programme of works, create construction phase plan, prepare risk assessments and method statements, ordering of materials and allocation of labour, including sourcing sub-contractors.
Live Projects:
Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget. Co-ordination of resources, develop detailed project plans to track progress and oversee all trades, client/contractor/consultant liaison, regular site progress visits and meeting attendance, progression meetings, updating construction programme, manage client changes, review and authorisation of contractor variations, create and maintain project and health & Safety documentation, deliver site based inductions, tool box talks and general briefings.
Post Contract/Completion:
Closing out snags and any additional works required by the client, client & contractor liaison, contractor reviews, process/procedure review.
What you’ll need:
• 5+ Years Experience in the role
• SSTS/SMTS, First Aid, CSCS
• Proven track record in construction, fit out and refurb project management
• Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience
• Tender preparation and submission experience
• Ability to lead and make decisions
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and to work under pressure
• Thorough knowledge of CDM and Health & Safety Procedures
• Full UK driving licence is essential
