Duties

· Carrying out process design works in accordance with project contracts / scope of work

· Preparation of process deliverables including but not limited to calculations, simulations, H & M balances, PFDs, UFDs, P&IDs, Line list, datasheets, control philosophy, C&E Charts, Technical notes, Study reports etc.

· Equipment, Instrument sizing & and adequacy checks of existing ones

· Assist Process Safety works via participation in HAZIDs, HAZOPs and close out of action items ensuring design satisfies all operational and safety requirements

• Contribute to preparation of operating & training manuals, project documentation as required.

· Ensure design deliverables reflect accuracy and meets codes, guidelines & standards while following company QA/QC procedures

· Ensure that assigned work is delivered on schedule, budget with intended quality

• Producing cost effective solutions that are novel, technologically robust and fit for purpose,

· Management and coordination of the Process discipline engineers & designers to ensure effective use of the available resources

· Ensure that the design incorporates process integrity, conforms to mandatory standards, project requirements, good engineering practices and reflects the best possible option in terms of cost and efficiency

• Review facility layout, 3D-model and piping GA / ISO drawings and other cross-functional documents to ensure correct interpretation of process requirements.

· To be responsible for all the technical decisions or corrective actions associated with process design.

• Plan, Monitor & control process discipline workstream and provide progress updates to the PM and management team on a regular basis.
• Consult with other disciplines and foster a cohesive working environment.
• Coach and mentor lesser experienced team members
• Consult with the Client / Stakeholders on various discipline attributes of the project
• Handle Change management (if any) by timely initiating, coordinating, and seeking project / client approvals.
• Support Q & A activities related to department standards & procedures development

· Support to proposals and other business pursuits

Requirements

· Tertiary education in Chemical or Process engineering

• 10-15 years' experience (with minimum 3 years as Senior Process Engineer), Coal Gasification, LNG, New energies, Power, Refinery, Petrochem, O & G domain
• Those having experience in projects directly involving Coal Gasification, New Energy (H2, Ammonia, renewable energy), Energy Transformation or GHG Roadmap would be given preference.

· Experience in Conceptual, Feasibility and Optioneering Studies, with exposure to FEED, DE in an EPC/EPCm or Consulting environment

• Previous experience in managing a process team

· Able to collaborate & communicate effectively within a multidiscipline design team in a matrix organization, demonstrably a good team player

• Skills in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point etc.) and process simulation software particularly those to be used for projects
• Self-organised, has ability to work under tight deadlines, and able prioritize work to achieve intended outcome.

We seek a talented, experienced Architect to join our aviation-focused consultancy team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architectural design, particularly within aviation or large-scale public infrastructure environments, and will bring expertise in delivering design solutions that align with the unique requirements of airport and aviation facilities. This role requires a creative, detail-oriented professional capable of developing efficient, sustainable, and innovative design concepts that enhance user experience, streamline operational efficiency, and meet regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Conceptual Design and Development

• Develop conceptual and final architectural designs, focusing on functional, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing solutions tailored to aviation environments.
• Work closely with project stakeholders, including clients, engineers, planners, and contractors, to develop creative solutions that align with project goals and client vision.

· Project Management and Coordination

• Lead and manage design projects of various scales, from small renovations to large-scale airport expansions and new facilities.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams, including structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers, to ensure that all designs are functional, compliant, and buildable.
• Prepare detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring projects meet both quality and regulatory standards.

· Technical Documentation and Compliance

• Develop detailed architectural drawings, models, and specifications using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp) and maintain comprehensive design documentation.
• Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, building codes, ADA standards, and sustainability requirements.
• Review technical documents for accuracy and compliance, including drawings, calculations, and specifications, and address any inconsistencies or issues promptly.

· Stakeholder Engagement and Client Communication

• Conduct client presentations and communicate design intent effectively to stakeholders, integrating feedback into designs as required.

· Innovation and Sustainability

· Construction Administration

• Oversee project construction phases, ensuring adherence to design specifications, and troubleshoot issues as they arise on-site
• Conduct site visits and coordinate with contractors to confirm that construction aligns with design and quality expectations.

Qualifications

· Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.

· Experience: 5+ years of architectural experience, with at least 2 years in aviation or large-scale public infrastructure environments.

· Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other industry-standard design software.

· Knowledge: Strong understanding of aviation regulations, safety standards, building codes, IATA ADRM compliance, and sustainable design principles.

· Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex design ideas clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all levels.

· Project Management: Proven experience in leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams on complex projects, from design through construction phases.

Preferred Skills

· Familiarity with airport-specific challenges, including passenger flow, security screening requirements, and airside/landside interface.

· Experience with Building Information Modelling (BIM) in aviation projects.

· LEED Accreditation or experience with sustainable design certifications.

Surbana Jurong seeks to hire a Principal Process Engineer to support the Energy & Industrial Department. This role offers a challenging career prospect to those who have a strong interest in the Oil and Gas industry, detailed-oriented and consultancy work.

Responsibilities

• Undertake process design work as required which may include a combination of engineering, research and consultancy work.
• Execute process engineering activities within the budget and schedule, as well as maintaining technical integrity of the designs
• Using the basis of design advised by the Lead Process Engineer, undertake detailed calculations to develop the design and be responsible for the accuracy of these calculations
• Ensure that detail design methods, standards and data used conform with Client's requirements
• Prepare process deliverables i.e. Process Flow Diagrams, Equipment specifications, Process Descriptions, P&IDs etc. for review and approval
• Ensure a high standard of safety is achieved and Environmental and Quality Assurance procedures are followed
• Perform safety related calculations and provide input to HAZOP’s, SIL and other safety reviews as directed
• Contribute where necessary to review of other discipline deliverables (for comments) and reviews of the project 3D CAD model.
• Participate in technical meetings and handle discussions with client engineers.
• Assist as required in the preparation of Operating Manuals.
• Perform research on materials and deliver reports or presentations on current development within the Oil and Gas Industry as required. This may require interaction with various parties i.e. Government agencies, existing market players, licensors, contractors, sub-contractors etc.

Requirements

• Min 10-years experienced in the Oil and Gas industry with a Chemical Engineering Degree.
• Experience in Engineering Contracting and Process Design within the oil and gas sector.
• Experience of working on FEED, EPC or PMC projects within the contracting industry
• Able to work both independently and in a team.
• Proactive and takes responsibility in resolving issues.
• Good communication skills and proficient in both written and spoken English and Mandarin
• Occasional business travel may be necessary.
• Proficiency in MS Suites is a must but added software skills in process simulation software i.e. Aspen HYSIS will be advantageous.
