Roles and Responsibilities of Construction Manager
- Reporting to Project Manager / Project Director
- Overall responsible for the construction of station operations
- Plan and prepare station requirements (subcon, suppliers, materials, equipment) base on baseline programme and work with technical/contracts department to finalise and submit for approval
- Achieve progress in accordance with programs and within budget
- Control the usage and minimize wastages of major building materials such as rebar, concrete, formwork materials, amongst other materials
- Carry out daily team meetings and site walks with project staff and produce tasks and action plan notes
- Invoke sequenced handover of works and track actual progress vs planned
- Prepare progress report for PM / PD to review
- Liaise with site team/ subcontractors on the scheduling and execution of all structural/ architectural/ M&E works
- Liaise with Design team on engineering technical issues
- Manage traffic / underground services diversion and temporary works
- Requisition of required manpower, subcontractors and suppliers
- Liaise with Quality and EHS departs to implement on site
- Control subcontractors and suppliers for the timely closure of issues relating to quality and safety
Requirements :
- Min Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Must possess min 15 years of relevant working experience in the construction industry of which minimum 10 years are in MRT projects
- Must possess all the training certificates required of a Construction Manager
- Able to start work on short notice will be an advantage
- must be able to work at Pasir Ris East
