You will form part of a dedicated team responsible for carrying out routine maintenance, repairs and installation on life safety and security systems such as Fire Alarms, Emergency Lighting, CCTV, warden call and door access, ensuring the properties are safe and compliant. This role includes a company van as you will cover different areas across the Midlands.

The role of Fire and Security Operative will include:

- Carrying out the servicing, remedial works and installation of fire alarms, extinguishers and security systems, including warden call
- Maintaining systems including fire alarms, fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, fire shutters and curtains to ensure safe and compliant properties

Mobile Caretaker

We are looking for a Mobile Caretaker to join our Estate Services team based in Lancing. You will be covering a large number of sites across Brighton and the surrounding areas. In this role you will be predominantly responsible for grounds maintenance, cleaning communal areas and removal of bulk items/fly tipping. The role will include both team and lone working and you will be provided with a van and tools in order to get jobs done.

The ideal candidate will have a track record of delivering high quality services, demonstrate a commitment to teamwork and high levels of customer service. A full training plan will be provided for the candidate and they will also have access to develop new and existing skills.

The role of Mobile Caretaker will include:

- Maintaining sheltered schemes and general needs property communal areas to a high standard
- Removal of bulk rubbish/fly tipping
- Working with customers to identify faults, resolving issues and improving services
- Completing all documents and paperwork concerning tasks completed
- Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and continue to be suitable for required tasks
- Respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations


Skills and experiences:

- Ideally experienced in a similar role of cleaning/caretaking within estate services
- BICS training preferred but not essential
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
- Practical experience in operating hand tools, and gardening machinery
- Good communication and customer care skills
- Some experience of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads

With a mix of skills and qualifications, the role will involve working on repairs for void properties and will cover all aspects of general building repairs and maintenance, including doors and windows. The role is mainly lone working with opportunities to work with the wider team as and when required, sharing out of hours call outs on a rota basis. With a company van and tools included the role will cover the sites across Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk.

We have an opportunity for a Trade Supervisor to join our team based in Welwyn Garden City. As Trade Supervisor you will cover different sites across the Hertford, Ely and the surrounding areas and your daily activities will include coordinating the operatives on repairs/installation and organising the team to work on all stock across the region, reacting to and dealing with emergencies as they arise. You will be provided with a company van and will have opportunities to develop your career within Sanctuary.

The role of Trade Supervisor will include:

- Overseeing day to day repairs and voids, ensuring they are carried out to a high standard
- Inspecting works completed to ensure these represent value for money e.g. efficient use of materials
- Maintaining compliance for health and safety, ensuring this is promoted and adhered to
- Handling complaints and breakdowns in service to meet customer expectations
- Working with colleagues to ensure work is arranged, prioritised and completed in an efficient manner
- Included in an out of hours rota as supervisor contact a minimum of once every 8 weeks

Asset Surveyor

We are currently seeking Asset Surveyors to join our team based in Stoke. This position sits within the Asset department, who are responsible for delivering high quality and cost effective strategies to manage Sanctuary’s property portfolio. They advise on reinvestment programmes, stock condition surveys, and provide specialist surveyor input on a range of other matters to ensure that properties are maintained and retain their value.

The role of Asset Surveyor will include:

- Undertaking Disrepairs, Awareness Notices, Stock Condition surveys and other property inspections in line with organisational policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and contract performance
- Helping to identify required asset improvements in line with business plans, ensuring that strategies and plans are developed, and high-quality services are delivered
- Managing cyclical and capital work projects in line with legislation and making appropriate recommendations
- Overseeing the delivery of mixed tenure work programmes in accordance with the organisation’s financial policies and procedures
- Maintaining accurate records and managing documentation for work specifications and quotations
- Providing detailed reports and advice on budgets to aid decision making and reviewing costs for accuracy as appropriate

We have an opportunity for a Maintenance Surveyor to join our Housing and Property team, based in Chester. The role is primarily lone working, within a team of 10 surveyors covering Sanctuary properties in the North regional area.

The role of Maintenance Surveyor will include:

- Undertaking property inspections in line with organisational policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and contract performance
- Project management of planned works
- Attending and contributing to on site meetings

The Gas Planners are responsible for planning the work for Gas Operatives across areas in England and Scotland including scheduling gas servicing and repair works. Landscape Technician

Telford – Covering sites across Shropshire

£23,799
- £25,051 per year
40 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 16:00pm

We are looking for a Landscape Technician to join our Estate Service team based in Telford. Working as part of a small team of 2, as well as lone working you will be responsible for the ground works on various sites across Shropshire. The role will involve lawn mowing, hedge/shrub pruning and litter picking. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and a well organised team player with good interpersonal skills who has previous experience in a gardening role and knows how to operate garden tools and powered machinery.

The role of Grounds Maintenance Operative will include:

- Undertaking grounds maintenance duties such as grass cutting, pruning, weed/moss treatment
- Ensuring all tools and equipment such as hedge trimmers, strimmers and all relevant hand tools are maintained in good, workable condition and are operated within a safe manner
- Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of tasks, completing daily work records as appropriate
- Complying with health and safety requirements in accordance with supplier guidelines and assessments


Skills and experiences:

- Previous experience working within a similar role where operating gardening machinery is required
- Holding a pesticide application certificate PA1 – PA6 or equivalent would be desirable
- Good communication skills
- The ability to manage and prioritise workload in order to meet deadlines
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
