DESIGN ENGINEER – MELROSE PARK

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Design Engineer to join our engineering team.
The role offers a variety of work in commercial; infrastructure and civil engineering covering diverse and challenging temporary works solutions and designs.
The Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver design drawings that are safe, economical, and efficient formwork solutions. Create AutoCAD 2D/3D drawings from RMD automated software - Locus 2D/3D and 2D tools
• Establish and maintain a safe working environment and ensure safety in design risks are mitigated within legislation, and company requirements.
• Apply knowledge in Australian/NZ Standards such as AS 3610, AS 3600, AS/NZS 1170.1, AS 4100 and Codes of Practice.
• Work within Company Policy and Procedures – Engineering Risk Management and Quality Assurance ISO9001
• Work in close co-operation with other engineers and designers, our Sales and Operations teams
• Project Review with client stakeholders during project lifecycle.
• Estimate Material take-off quantities of structural components that create formwork systems
About You:
• A self-starter with a practical mindset & visualisation in 3D. Understands how to read and incorporate engineering & architectural plans that interact with temporary works structures.
• Proficiency at intermediate or advanced level using AutoDesk - AutoCAD 2D/3D or Revit 2D/3D.
• Passion for combining engineering design & drafting
• Excellent in visualising & problem-solving skills
• Minimum 2 years of temporary works experience and a bachelor’s degree in civil, Structural or Architectural is essential.
