Job Description

• To carry out meetings on criteria of a project to review on the terms and conditions
• To collaborate with various professionals with regards to design i.e. engineers, quantity surveyor
• To produce and present feasibility reports and design proposals to clients
• To advise on practicality of the projects
• To revise and endorse the submission drawings and plans to the Authorities.
• To prepare for tender applications, presentations and negotiations with various vendors
• To prepare for applications for planning and buildingcontrol departments
• To supervise the project from start to finish
• To conduct regular site visits
• In-charge of managing the entire Architecture department
• To resolve problems while ensuring that environmental impact of the project is managed
• To register with BOA as the Architecture Director of the company.

Requirements

• Possess recognised Degree and Masters in Architecture
• Registered as an Architect with BOA Singapore
• 5 years and above of architectural experience.

Software: Lumion, Photoshop, AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup

• Report to QPS and QP (Geo) on all design matters
• Ensure that the contractor's design are in compliance with LTA's specifications and requirements
• Assist to check on the design calculations
• To liaise with AC and QP(D) to ensure that all permits and applications as required by BCA are endorsed in tandem with the progress of the Works
• Lead in the review of Contractor’s submissions required of the Consultant and coordinate with his respective QP(S) and the Contractor’s design teams to ensure prompt resolution of all design-related issues arising from the reviews of the Temporary and Permanent Works.

Responsibilities:

• The Senior Design Engineer (SDE) shall be an engineer in the civil/structural discipline with at least a degree recognised by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore
• At least ten (10) years of relevant experience on projects similar in nature to vehicular tunnel, including at least five (5)years in the design of geotechnical works for deep excavation

• To provide all relevant endorsements required by the relevant authorities
• Supervise all civil, structural and geotechnical building works, both permanent and temporary
• To ensure that contractor had obtained all necessary permits and clearance to work

Criteria:

- Possess a valid RTO cert by JAC of IES/ACES as QSS Singapore

- Possess a valid RTO (Tunnel) cert by JAC of IES/ACES as QSS Singapore

• Ensure that good safety and high quality of work are being carried out by the Contractor in compliance with the statutory requirements
• To provide wherever and whenever necessary standing supervision for the construction of civil and structural works in accordance with the Project specifications, construction drawings, and Building Control Act and Regulations.
• To assist SRE in the management and control of a team of site staff or Resident Technical Officer(s)
• To assist SRE in administrative control of the site staff, instill and maintain discipline, punctuality, and keep daily records of staff attendance, and other matters concerning the site staff's administrative matters.
• To oversee all aspects relating to the construction of the Project, keeping and submitting records.
• To provide full support and assistance, as and when directed by the SRE or client

Requirements:

• Min 4 years of civil engineering experience
• 2 years of experience advantageous in pedastrian overhead bridge, road, flyover construction
• Degree in Civil Engineering
• Accredited as a RE with IES

• Provide supervision and inspection to ensure that the Contractor(s) comply with Authority's and agencies' requirements
• Supervise all works, permanent & temporary, including Civil and architectural works, sewerage, drainage, irrigation, commuter facilities, road works, trial trenches and utilities diversion
• Coordinate with contractor(s) and relevant agencies/site partners for the work
• Supervise fabrication of precast concrete and steel structural elements both on site & off site
• Supervise lifting operations to erect precast concrete elements

Requirements

• Manage and coordinate the project effectively
• Manage and direct site staff (i.e. senior engineers, engineers, supervisors, etc.) in the project management of the NSC civil contracts (including other supporting Contracts);
• Assist in leading the supervision personnel, including Resident Engineer (RE) and Registered Technical Officers (RTOs) in the supervision of the project to ensure compliance with drawings/specifications, approved work methods and authorities’ requirements;
• Assist in managing the Contractor on the construction of the project, including but not limited to monitoring submissions by the Contractor and clearances from the other consultants and relevant authorities;
• Evaluate the Contractor’s proposed programme of works and recommend any adjustments where necessary;
• Maintain and keep up-to-date all project-related information in the Authority’s portal;
• Establish the quality management system, safety and risk management, time management, cost planning and management system for the construction activities;
• Co-ordinate/approve corrective actions and monitor the actions taken;
• Identify/solve site problems. To liaise and coordinate with the Contractors, and the Authority’s team (including the chairing of regular meetings) to ensure timely resolution of all site problems;

• Ensure the safety and quality of works and monitors the performance of environmental control measures, earth control measures, site safety measures, and housekeeping on-site and initiate preventive/corrective actions;
• Ensure that the Contractor delivers works to the requirement of the Authority and within the Contract period;
• Ensure that site records of all variation orders and Instructions are properly documented;
• Ensure proper coordination between other Contracts and authorities. Ensures an efficient Viaduct, Civil & structural and Geotechnical design is achieved in accordance with Design Criteria and relevant standards;
• Liaise with internal and external parties on all Viaduct, Civil & Structural and Geotechnical design matters and advises and assist the NSC’s PRPM/SPM/PM in all project management matters;
• Assist in investigating and liaising with the public and the relevant authorities for public feedback;
• Train, manage and provide leadership to the site supervisors in supervision and site management work, including the keeping of proper and accurate records;
• Prepare and update project progress reports regularly and carry out presentations whenever required;
• Identify potential or actual causes of delay and discuss with Contractors to take preventive or remedial actions;
• Respond to all emergency matters, such as fire and accidents, at the site during or off working hours;
• Work with the Authority’s team to project monthly construction progress;
• Manage the progress of precast components workshop drawings production, submission and approval. Also manage the mould adequacy and progress of mould fabrication, precast components production and delivery to ensure no delay to the progress of works;
• Ensure implementation of effective Noise Management and Public Communication Plan
• Carry out administrative works pertaining to the management of the project including but not limited to official attendance and minutes or notes taking in all meetings

Job Requirement

• Minimum Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering
• Minimum 8 years relevant experience in a project/construction environment, with at least 3 years experience in viaduct and /or flyover construction
• Proficient in relevant software programmes for planning and project work

Requirements

• Degree in Civil and Structural engineering recognised by PEB
• At least 8 years of civil engineering experience, of which 5 years must be of Geotechnical such as tunnels,deep excavation and foundation, including works such as installation of monitoring instruments and collation of monitoring data
• Possessed a valid RE Cert

• Provide supervision services for all M&E works to ensure that contractors complies with contract/authorities'/agencies' requirements
• Oversee the M&E team and personnel
• Review all drawings and specifications and highlight any discrepancies, non-workable and/or missing details to OIC and the QP(D)s and QP(S)

Requirements

• Accredited with Resident Engineer certification under Joint Accreditation Committee of the Institution of Engineers Singapore
• Minimum 10 years of experience , of which at least 8 years in major construction works in buildings, services laying and testing and commissioning
• A Mechanical and Electrical Engineering degree recognised by the PEB of Singapore
• Conversant with statutory code and requirements for site supervision, quality control procedures, construction administration and submission of progress report
• Licensed electrical worker and licensed plumber are preferred
