Job Overview:
The Investor Relations and Fundraising Manager will play a crucial role in developing and managing relationships with investors, directors, and other key stakeholders. This position involves communicating the company's financial performance and strategic direction, managing investor communications, and leading fundraising initiatives to support our growth objectives. Our existing investors include individual angel investors, strategic corporate venture capital arm, and institutions.
This candidate will also be responsible for budgeting, forecasts and cost savings initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Support:
Having a deep understanding of F&B industry and the financial industry to work closely with senior management to develop and communicate the company’s strategic vision and performance.
Provide insights and recommendations based on investor feedback and market analysis.
Assist in strategic projects and initiatives as needed.
Investor Relations:
Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential investors. Prepare documents in both Chinese and English for investors’ review.
Create and deliver presentations, press releases, and other communication materials for earnings releases, industry events, and presentations to analysts, brokers, and investors.
Coordinate and manage investor meetings, roadshows, conference calls, and other investor engagement activities.
Respond to investor inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Fundraising:
Lead fundraising efforts, including identifying potential investors, preparing fundraising materials, and coordinating due diligence processes.
Evaluate the organization’s fundraising plans and capital structure
Develop and execute strategies to secure capital from venture capital firms, private equity, institutional investors, and other sources.
Negotiate terms and conditions of investment agreements in collaboration with legal and finance teams.
Track and report on fundraising progress and manage investor updates.
Financial Data Analysis:
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Assist in the preparation of annual reports, quarterly earnings reports, and other financial disclosures. Dig deeper into financial ratios to facilitate company’s expansion decision making.
Monitor Budget Performance and prepare Management reports, including reliable current and forecasting reports
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, competitor performance, and regulatory changes impacting the business.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Statistics, or a related field; Master or MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in financial control, investor relations, fundraising, corporate finance, or a related role such as running a start-up.
- 5+ years of working experience in the F&B industry to have a solid industry understanding
- Proven track record in successfully managing investor relations and raising capital.
- Excellent communication including Chinese reading and writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and data analysis modeling skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of professionalism and integrity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with financial databases and CRM
