About the Role:
Hackney Council is seeking a skilled and motivated Intelligence & Demand Management Officer to join our team. This role is essential for the effective coordination and management of daily intelligence to support community safety enforcement and business regulation. This is a part-time role, covering 22 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Operations: Conduct daily scanning, collation, and assessment of information related to crime, ASB (anti-social behavior), environmental, licensing, and regulatory incidents.
Liaison & Coordination: Work closely with the Police Local Intelligence Team, council enforcement, and regulatory service officers to coordinate tasking.
Reporting & Analysis: Produce daily and weekly tasking and briefing reports, summarizing incidents and providing intelligence briefings.
Meetings: Present summaries at Weekly Tasking Meetings and record and disseminate actions from these meetings.
Strategic Recommendations: Recommend SMART actions to focus operational resources, reduce crime and disorder, and improve service delivery.
Data Management: Identify patterns and trends, and highlight them for further research and analysis.
Support & Development: Assist with service initiatives, provide regular updates, and support the development of IT systems and service information on the website.
Skills & Experience Required:
Organizational Skills: Exceptional time management and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Problem-Solving: Proven experience in problem-solving and creative thinking.
Communication: First-class written and oral communication skills.
IT Proficiency: Ability to operate various IT software packages including Word, Outlook, Excel, Vision, and PowerPoint.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to establish positive relationships with stakeholders.
Analytical Skills: Experience in applying problem-solving analysis and statistical analysis techniques.
Knowledge of Crime Prevention: Understanding of crime and ASB prevention/reduction theories.
