Overall Function
The GCIO office primarily support the GCIO in executing the vision, strategy and key initiatives for the Technology and Operations across the NETS Group. The members of the GCIO office is responsible for ensuring the effective use of information and technologies across Tech departments to improve service delivery, enhance cybersecurity, and drive digital transformation. The office typically:
- Provide leadership in the development and implementation of IT strategies and policies
- Ensure technology systems are secure, efficient and aligned with company goals
- Oversee digital service transformation to increase efficiency of tech operations and be trusted advisor to regulators, partners, industry bodies and internal stakeholder
Key Responsibilities
- Support GCIO with strategic initiatives across 3 entities - NETS, NETS Solution and BCS, including Tech Resiliency, Management Information System, Technology Governance, Cloud Migration etc. with group level management and department heads to focus on data protection, privacy, cybersecurity, and IT procurement.
- Participate in management meetings for both entities and group level, write meeting minutes, action items, prepare presentations and ensure delivery in time.
- Work closely with GCIO and GCISO, GCFO, GCRCO to promote technology innovation and shared services across entities.
- Engage different vendors i.e. Consulting agencies - Accenture, EY, Deloitte for company technology strategies, business decision, organisation structure.
- Facilitate meetings with both external and internal stakeholders, develop and manage meeting agenda, ensuring alignment with policy priorities and economic goals.
Requirements
Educational Background
- Bachelor degree in IT, Computer Science or related fields
- Certifications in relevant areas such as Project Management i.e. PMP, PRINCE2; IT Governance i.e. COBIT; or Cyber Security i.e. CISSP, CISM is an advantage
- Proven experience in senior IT leadership roles, especially within finance/payment industry.
- Experience with IT development, large-scale digital transformation projects and cybersecurity management.
- Strong skills in strategic thinking, leadership & communication, problem solving, project management and change management.
- Stay updated with evolving trends in technology i.e. AI, Cloud Computing and digital services, to keep IT strategies relevant and forward-looking.
