Distribution Center Associate

Navico Group is offering an exciting career opportunity as a Warehouse Associate at its Sparks, NV, location.

Position Description

This position is responsible for a variety of warehousing and distribution center activities ranging from receiving to shipping operations. Responsibilities may include inventory control, expediting, order preparation and documentation for order processing. Must perform well in a team environment and posses a strong bias toward customer service.

Job Responsibilities

Ships and receives all parts and packages from vendors/production points that are delivered to receiving dock by various carriers   Enters, views and verifies data using various Warehouse Management Systems via handheld devices Locates, picks, packs and moves materials using material handling equipment and maintains equipment as needed i.e. walkies, hand trucks etc. Performs order processing and expedites parts when required. Loads and unloads trucks if/when assigned Performs other warehouse duties as assigned

Job Skills Requirements

• Previous experience in warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred
• Ability to use computers, communicate effectively and operate in a high-volume high output environment
• Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with specialized expertise in battery systems to join our team. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing, optimizing, and continuously improving our battery manufacturing processes. Your extensive knowledge of battery technologies, production methods, and quality assurance will be essential in ensuring our battery systems' efficiency, reliability, and safety.

Primary responsibilities in descending order for this position include:

• Battery Manufacturing Process Design: Collaborate with R&D teams to develop manufacturing processes for new battery technologies, ensuring scalability, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to industry standards.

• Process Optimization: Analyze existing battery manufacturing processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements to enhance productivity, yield, and quality.

• Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality control measures throughout the battery manufacturing process, conducting thorough testing and inspection to maintain consistent product quality.

• Equipment Selection and Installation: Identify appropriate manufacturing equipment and machinery for battery production, overseeing installation, and commissioning processes.

• Material Selection and Supplier Management: Work closely with the procurement team to select suitable materials for battery assembly and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality components.

• Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in battery manufacturing, prioritizing the well-being of employees and maintaining a safe work environment.

• Data Analysis: Analyze production data, performance metrics, and yield rates to identify trends, address challenges, and make data-driven decisions for process improvements.

• Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Develop and maintain detailed SOPs for battery manufacturing processes, providing clear instructions to production operators.

• Training and Support: Train production operators on new processes, equipment, and quality control measures, providing ongoing support to ensure efficient and accurate production.

• Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in battery technologies, manufacturing techniques, and industry trends to drive innovation and competitiveness.

Education Requirements (special training, college degree, etc.)

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

• Advanced degrees or additional certifications in battery technology are highly desirable.

• Extensive experience in the field will be considered in lieu of a degree

Experience & Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer and 2-3 years in fields related to battery system assembly. This could be high-voltage traction or low-voltage Lithium-based manufacturing. Extensive lead-acid experience would be considered.

• Manufacturing Experience: Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in battery production or related fields, with a strong understanding of assembly processes and automation.

• Process Engineering: Proficiency in process engineering principles, including process design, optimization, and data analysis to drive continuous improvement.

• Quality Management: Knowledge of quality control methodologies, statistical process control, and Six Sigma principles to maintain high product quality.

• CAD and Simulation Tools: Experience with CAD software and simulation tools to aid in process design and validation.

•  Conduct regular program status reviews

•  Assist in preparation & presentation of gate reviews to Navico Group team

•  Assist in the continuous improvement of program/project mgmt. framework & development of appropriate tools for execution of this framework

•  Consolidate, report, and implement lessons learned

•  Keen awareness of customer requirements, collaborate with engineering to help facilitate process of converting product needs into design specifications and prototype

•  Support the manufacturing operations group with bringing new products to production

•  Assist the Navico Sales organization with expanding and supporting business relationships with multiple outside customers

•  Identify and resolve barriers and risks to project execution

•  Work with appropriate functions to obtain component quotes, cost estimates and manufacturing costs to support ongoing analysis. Evaluation of product costs vs targets

•  Own, prioritize, and drive timeline & project hand-offs

We are seeking a facilities/maintenance technician that is responsible for preserving the good condition and functionality of premises, and performing maintenance tasks of great variety such as painting, forklift maintenance, HVAC p.m.’s, and all other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Survey buildings and repair systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
• Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, outlets, etc.)
• Assist in the p.m. of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary
• Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed
• Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide
• Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)
• Assist in budget preparation
• Work with outside vendors on projects they are involved in the facility.
• Contact outside vendors when repairs are needed on equipment.
• Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door or wall repair
• Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures
• Maintaining the building HVAC equipment to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly
• Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries

Job Skill Requirements

• At least 2-3 experience as maintenance technician
• Basic understanding of electrical, computer wiring, hydraulic and other systems
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills

The Field Service Technical Specialist is a critical team member of the Technical Support team. These team members have three primary roles within the Support Services team: Provide expert technical advice to Navico Group customers including OEMs, Manufacturers, dealership technicians and consumers; Help improve reliability and serviceability of NAVICO GROUP Connect/Integrated products; Author and maintain service information and solutions including knowledge and FAQs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues regarding Navico Group Connect/Integrated systems on marine, RV and other vehicles, including:
  • Diagnosing systems using electronic test equipment
  • Interpretation of fault codes
  • Adjustments and setting for hydraulic, electrical and application performance.
  •  Development of processes related to equipment repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Answer escalated technical questions from internal and external NAVICO GROUP customers using personal knowledge, experience and available references while maintaining awareness of the cost of repair and vehicle uptime.
• Document all technical questions and data into the contact management system for:
  • Future reference by other support team members
  • Creating new and improving upon current technical documents
  • Identifying emerging product or application issues and deliver this information to quality, engineering, manufacturing and product management to improve reliability and serviceability.
• Maintain relationships with other internal teams including, quality, product management, engineering and manufacturing to provide regular informal feedback of current issues that customer and consumers are experiencing with NAVICO GROUP Connect/Integrated systems.
• Support other Support Services initiatives as needed including field visits, periodic audits and training.
• Provide “Project Brief” handoff and additional training to associated Service teams.
• Support of PPC committee through RAPID RESPONSE TEAM initiative @direction of manager
• Provide OEM service specific trainings in relation to Navico Connect projects.
• As with any growing organization, the listed roles and responsibilities may shift as the need for our teams involvement in the business grows. 

Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred

• 3+ years of technical experience on mobile equipment

• Experience with Navico Group products preferred
• Electrical or Electronic experience on mobile equipment
• Technical, Customer or dealership experience
• ABYC / RVIA Electrical Certification preferred
• NMEA Certification preferred
• Travel up to 35%

Regional Sales Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Meet or exceed sales objectives while maintaining acceptable gross margins.
• Grow market share of brands and products assigned for territory.
• Establish and manage yearly dealer sales targets and provide the company with accurate sales and inventory forecasts.
• Plan and execute territory sales plans and strategies as part of overall company strategy.

• Support communication across Brunswick business units
• Provide company with accurate and timely competitive information.
• Manage and develop pro staff members to grow SOW of Navico brands in the region
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Meaningful experience in sales or sales management, preferably in the marine or fishing industry.
• Demonstrated experience in managing distribution channels and dealer networks.
• Strong analytic skills to use data/internal tools to help Dealers increase sales and profits
• Experience with territory management and customer call planning.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint e-marketing skills required.
• Experience with Microsoft dynamics or salesforce CRM systems

We are currently seeking a Systems Engineering Lead to join our Lowell, MI team. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead multidisciplinary engineering efforts and requirements management to deliver system solutions that enable leading experiences for our customers and end users. This role is tasked with single point responsibility for ensuring that efforts to develop and deliver new systems and key elements within these systems are architected and validated in alignment with a shared requirements management tool.

The successful candidate will have several years experience leading teams to execute data driven processes to build requirements documentation for products or systems in whitespace categories and have a solid foundational understanding of how various engineering documents and tools enable successful delivery to ranked product needs. This candidate will also have experience developing electromechanical devices and working across mechanical, embedded systems, industrial design, simulation, testing / validation, and other depth expertise functions to achieve positive outcomes for consumer experience pillars.

Skill Requirements:

• Requirement development and definition at the product and system level
• System architecture development
• Tradeoff studies and data driven decision making
• Concise communicator with ability to develop innovative and clear methods for sharing ideas, plans and recommendations quickly
• Ability to find compromise between current and ideal states to achieve program objectives and business long term goals
• Model based system engineering approach
• Program scoping, architecture tradeoffs, and identification of skillsets and time commitments needed to support successful execution
• Evaluate and recommend choices for internal vs. external development for program elements

Key Responsibilities:

• Single point responsibility for quality of execution of product development program including ownership of Functional Requirements Document and usage of System Requirements tools as appropriate.
• Lead efforts and create framework for establishing product needs, specifications, and operating environment to develop a robust set of standards and requirements for new product spaces
• Define and lead execution of benchmark plans to support data driven requirements decision making
• Provide thought leadership to achitecture models to meet program needs considering operational, functional, logical, and physical tradeoffs and points of view
• Lead tradeoff study efforts to select between various technology solutions or development team pathways
• Provide team and thought leadership to progress through series of decisions required to pursue ideal state architecture
• Manage propogation of impact when product or scope changes are considered to ensure informed decision-making process
• Oversight for system verification and validation plans from budgeting and planning stage through execution and resolution of Incident Reports (IR's)
• Support business case for programs by providing inputs such as engineering services expense, headcount for various areas of expertise, and prototype expense
• Create, maintain, and establish best practices for system architecture and requirements management with other individuals working in similar capacity
• Spans all phases of the product development cycle, from concept development and system architecture to product launch and field support
• Prioritize and track progress to resolution of top product development technical risks
• Identify potential roadblocks to resolving design concerns and develop contingency plans

Qualifications:

• Knowledge and education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering. MS in Engineering or Engineering Management is strongly preferred.
• Experience: Five plus years experience in Product Development including development of product validation requirements
• Experience and familiarity with usage and operation of recreational boats across a variety of use cases and product categories
