Join us as a Credit Sales Associate
- We have an 8 month contract role for a Credit Sales Associate in our Singapore office, focused on the delivery of the broad range of credit products to investors in Australia and NZ
- You’ll take responsibility for the distribution of all primary and secondary credit (bonds, loans and other formats) on behalf of NWM and our 3rd party clients of NWM

What you'll do
As a Credit Sales Associate, you’ll be maintaining and strengthening the relationship between NatWest Markets and Australian institutional clients investing primarily in corporate bonds, repos, secured and unsecured loans, real estate loans, infrastructure debt, and who are a mix of asset managers, insurers, banks, pension funds, etc. We’ll expect you to sell any NatWest-led, new issues working closely with Syndicate to ensure a successful syndication. The product delivery also includes clients in Singapore and Hong Kong for private banks and hedge funds.
As well as this, you’ll be:
- Working on the generation of trades for the trading desk and working with trading to buy and sell loan and high yield names which are a focus for the team
- Maintaining regular dialogue with various internal teams to help identify cross-selling opportunities and to make sure the needs of the business are being met
- Supporting and maintain a robust risk control environment
- Implementing a client focus throughout business strategy, communications and client engagement
The skills you'll need
To be successful in this role, you’ll need thorough client knowledge and an understanding of credit market operations. You’ll also need good team working and commercial skills. Along with an extensive track record of client coverage, you’ll have a solid grasp of matching duration constraints, credit rating, and spread and yield targets.
We’ll also be looking for:
- Prior experience in a Rates sales role would be an advantage
- Fluency in English both written and spoken
- The ability to work with a wide variety of clients delivering credit trade idea generation with strong credit content
- Effective multitasking skills, able to navigate client trading activity and information sharing across primary and secondary businesses
- Good knowledge of ESG clients and their needs
