ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supporting and monitoring Adult Education IET student retention, progress, completion, and transitions into college/career programs, work force and employment;
• Connecting IET students with college and community resources to overcome barriers;   
• Cultivating and maintaining college and community partnerships with the IET Collaborate of faculty and staff to implement an integrated curriculum in business, culinary and health science;
• Provide academic support and instruction as needed;
• Proactively manage and guide students in the IET program to obtain a high school equivalency diploma, develop English language and professional communication skills, learn and practice employability skills and earn credentials of value and industry certifications;
• Ensure fiscal responsibility and integrity for the program including, but not limited to, products and assessments to fulfill IET credentials;
• Assist with grant writing.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The specific duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Recruiting, instructing, supporting, and leading Adult Education IET students to success in an integrated Business Services/Entrepreneurship program, Culinary program and/or Health Science.
• Serving on an IET Advisory Board;
• Collaborating with faculty and staff in a fully integrated instructional approach;
• Participating in department, division, and applicable college-wide meetings;
• Traveling off-campus to participate in IET related activities such as recruitment events and other campus sites as needed for student support and collaboration opportunities;
• Completing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY:

Under general direction, handle specialized information service with internal and external contact of Adult Education program. Responsible for the accurate and prompt transmittal of information concerning registration, student’s files, admission, financial aid, counseling for IET programs, reporting, and testing. Implements programs and services.  Works with Adult Education team, and
community partners in developing, and tracking project timelines.  Develop and report key metrics. Coordinate with other areas within the college on needs, training, and communication. May consult and advise the Director on the use of resources related to the Adult Education grant. Plans, conduct, and analyze research/information. Serve as liaison between Adult Education and the staff at the Career Source centers.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:

• Develop and implement evaluation of activities carried out with funds under Adult Education, including evaluations necessary to complete the Integrated Educational Training Open Door Grant. 10%
• Conduct assessments and evaluate the need for support services. 10%
• Update, maintain and distribute reports to all Adult Education areas. 10%
• Maintain and update promotional materials for the Adult Education programs. 10%
• Develop and maintain electronic databases for recruitment and retention student progress. 10%
• Guide students to high wage career training through IET programs. 10%
• Order and distribute supplies to all six (6) campuses.5%
• Assist with provision of readily available career and labor market information, including information on occupational supply and demand. 5%
• Provide updates to administrators regarding community employment and workforce demand. 5%
• Assist in the communication of information regarding Adult Education within the College community through preparation of memos, E-mails, and telephone referrals. 5%

• Coordinate with the Adult Education Director and Program and Testing Coordinator in recruiting special populations students and promoting Adult Education offerings. 5%

JOB SUMMARY:

  Provides classroom, laboratory and clinical instruction and supervision of nursing courses. The faculty member serves as a professional nurse role model and as a liaison with health care agencies. JOB SUMMARY:

Under direct supervision, this position assists students with registration, admission, and payments for the College. Duties include: ascertaining student’s issues and directing to appropriate party; processing applications, forms, and fees; evaluating documents and entering information into system; and providing clerical support.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists with recruitment efforts including workshops; creates newsletter/flyers.
• Triages entering students to direct them to proper area whether applying to the college, registering for courses, or processing students for PERT testing.
• Assists students with applications and onboarding process; reviews and verifies Florida residency; and evaluates high school transcripts.
• Processes payments for college classes, PERT tests, Distance Learning Tests, ESL payments, and GED payments; makes sure payments balance each day; closes bank sessions; gives payments to security to take to the bank; sends paperwork and receipts to appropriate party; and closes safe at the end of the day.
• Processes and schedules students for vocational, supplemental, and non-credit courses; processes Dual Enrollment paperwork.
• Serves as a liaison for students coming to talk with Advising, Financial Aid, and Career Transfer Services.
• Completes data entry of student registration information; registers students for various tests administered by the College.
• Maintains and updates student information, both electronic and hard copy records.
• Processes registration forms.
• Assists counselors and advisors with clerical tasks and filing; coordinates workflow to other offices.
• Coordinates room usage of campus facilities, answers and directs calls for a multi-line telephone system.
• Completes all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Associate degree; one (1) year of related clerical experience including cash handling experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
• Prefers those competent in speaking and writing both Spanish and English.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position classifies the physical exertion requirements as light work involving lifting no more than 20 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Even though the weight lifted may be very little, a job is in this category when it requires a good deal of walking or standing, or when it involves sitting most of the time with some pushing and pulling of arm or leg controls. To be considered capable of performing a full or wide range of light work, you must have the ability to do substantially all of these activities. If someone can do light work, we determine that he or she can also do sedentary work, unless there are additional limiting factors such as loss of fine dexterity or inability to sit for long periods of time.

Develops, implements, and evaluates procedures and processes to increase enrollment, retention, and completion of students. Advises students in career and program planning and assist in their personal education plans. Oversees the maintenance of appropriate student and program records.

Constructs and analyzes performance reports and project evaluations, and determines and implements corrective action as required. Develops, implements, and evaluates procedures and processes within the division. Works closely with college staff and the community for recruitment, marketing of programs, and public relations;

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Promotes and markets integrated educational training programs. Assists Adult Education with marketing and promotion of existing career training programs. Participates as a member of the Adult Education Team 20%
• Assists with recruitment, advisement and registration in Adult Education programs. 10%
• Provide oversight of recruitment, registration, monitoring, and tracking students of selected IET Programs. Implement new IET programs matched to local industry needs 10%
• Creates and participates in recruitment enrollment activities as assigned, representing IRSC in the community. 10%
• Assists in the resolution of student issues in Adult Education programs.10%
• Monitors, report, and track Adult Education grants and programs. 10%
• Respond to requests for information from the public, partners, or other offices. Creates and maintains Adult Education program information for general distribution.10%

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Proven work experience in Adult Education ESL, GED, and IET Programs;
• Ability to work with a diverse student population.
• Proven knowledge and skill in Microsoft Office computer applications are a requirement for this position for the purpose of creating promotional material, maintaining records, designing presentations, and constructing reports.
• Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written. Proven organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to be creative and innovative in supporting the Adult Education program’s effort to accomplish program production and performance goals.
• Ability to work independently with sound judgment.
• Ability to interact effectively with people at all levels, both internal and external to the institution in a professional and personable manner.
• Valid Florida driver’s license.
• Experience with the Workday system is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position classifies the physical exertion requirements as light work involving lifting no more than 20 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Even though the weight lifted may be very little, a job is in this category when it requires a good deal of walking or standing, or when it involves sitting most of the time with some pushing and pulling of arm or leg controls.
