Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinetmaker to join our team, focusing on the construction and assembly of the fittings for the caravans and motorhomes. The ideal candidate will have experience in carpentry, with a passion for high-quality workmanship and an eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
• Construct, fit, and finish interiors of caravans and motorhomes, including cabinets, beds, shelving, and other custom fixtures
• Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications
• Use a variety of carpentry tools and equipment safely and efficiently
• Select and work with various materials, including timber, veneers, particle board, and synthetic wood, to meet projects specifications and quality standards.
• Ensure all work meets high-quality standards and client specifications
• Collaborate with a team of builders, electricians, and designers to complete each project
• Assist in problem-solving and contribute ideas for efficient, quality construction
Requirements:
• Hold a Certificate III in relevant field or equivalent. Alternatively, we can consider candidates with 3 years of experience as a Cabinetmaker or in a similar role to substitute formal qualifications.
• Two years of work experience as a Cabinetmaker or similar, preferably in the caravan, motorhome, or similar industries.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical plans
• Skilled in the use of various carpentry tools and machinery
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Flexibility and adaptability to work on a variety of projects
