In Greece we conduct business through EDPS, which is one of the leading FINTECH companies in Greece specializing in Payments Processing and Advanced Payment Solutions. Our goal is to be the go-to solution for large retailers across all sectors and offer cutting edge technology in order to accept and process electronic payments on both physical location (POS) and eCommerce environments.
We are currently seeking an energetic and enthusiastic IT Systems User Support to join our team.
The IT Systems User Support is responsible for maintaining the IT Infrastructure of the Company including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware, handling daily business critical tasks and systems.
The IT Systems User Support will take responsibility for projects and solutions within the larger business initiative, working closely with internal and external partners to communicate project status, activities, and achievements.
Proficiency in Unix and Microsoft systems is preferred. Proven experience with operating systems, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, systems performance-monitoring tools, active directories, virtualization, content delivery, and caching is mandatory.
The role applies structured IT methodologies, documentation, policies, and integrations to enhance overall IT systems quality and scalability. The IT Systems User Support must thrive in a focused, productive, high-intensity, and team-oriented environment. The candidate will be part of a highly skilled IT team that provides business solutions in an energetic organization.
About the role
- Perform server administration tasks (ex: user/group, security permissions, group policies, print services); research event-log warnings and errors; and monitor resources to ensure that systems architecture components work together seamlessly.
- Monitor data-center health using existing management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers when needed.
- Maintain internal infrastructure requirements, including laptop and desktop computers, servers, printers, phones, security updates, support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments.
- Administer Microsoft Azure AD and O365.
- Assist teams with troubleshooting to identify root cause and provide technical support when needed.
- Perform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups.
About you
To be considered for this role, here are the skills we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in information technology or computer science
- Knowledge of Unix and Microsoft systems administration
- Professional certification
- Proven success in an IT role.
- Experience with operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, systems performance-monitoring tools, active directories, virtualization, HTTP traffic, content delivery, and caching.
- Microsoft Exchange and Veeam Backup administration.
- Expertise in analyzing and repairing large-scale systems; creating volumes and assigning them to servers; and remote replication.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Must be highly organized, hands-on, and focused on continuing professional development.
