Reporting Location: NTU-Durapower Advance Lithium Battery Joint Lab, #02-01, 1 Cleantech Loop, Singapore 637141
Durapower Technology (Singapore) Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Durapower Holdings Pte Ltd, pioneers customized lithium-ion battery systems for applications such as electric vehicles, microgrids, and smart grids.
Roles & Responsibilities:
As an R&D Laboratory Technician at Durapower's NTU Laboratory, you will play a critical role in the Battery Material Research (BMR) team, with an emphasis on your expertise in disciplines such as Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related fields. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Big Pouch Cell Fabrication & Optimization:
· Apply your knowledge in chemical or materials engineering to develop and optimize big pouch cell fabrication processes.
· Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to enhance the mechanical and chemical characteristics of big pouch cells.
IAF 30N Cell Fabrication & Optimization:
· Utilize your expertise in materials science or mechanical engineering to contribute to the fabrication and optimization of IAF 30N cells.
· Implement improvements with a focus on material properties and mechanical integrity.
IAF VDA Cell Fabrication & Optimization:
· Leverage your background in materials or chemical engineering to support the fabrication and optimization of IAF VDA cells.
· Innovate processes to improve the chemical composition and overall performance of IAF VDA cells.
Cell Fabrication & Testing SOP Preparation:
· Draw upon your knowledge in materials or chemical engineering to develop meticulous Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for cell fabrication and testing.
· Ensure SOPs align with the unique characteristics of materials used in lithium-ion battery technology.
Battery Testing and Report Preparation:
· Utilize your background in physics, materials science, or related disciplines to conduct thorough battery testing.
· Prepare comprehensive reports, emphasizing the physical and chemical aspects of battery performance.
Requirements:
· Minimally possess a Nitec/Diploma qualification or Degree (Early Entrant)
· Good academic and practical background in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related disciplines.
· Willing to learn and some training will be provide on processes and equipment.
· Prior experience working in a process laboratory will be ideal; cleanroom environment
· Effective communication skills to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
· Proven ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical laboratory work.
· Timely and accurate completion of assigned projects, with attention to discipline-specific details.
· Proficiency in relevant software tools and techniques related to your field of expertise.
· Ability to speak, read Mandarin and English due to nature of laboratory process equipments
