Warehouse Operative / Production Support

JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Warehouse Operative / Production Support
REPORTS TO: Box Making Manager and/or Polyester Production Manager


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1 To provide a continuous support service at all times, on behalf of the Company
2 To ensure that ordered goods are manufactured, picked and dispatched on a daily basis and accurately
3 To provide assistance to the Warehouse Manager and Box/Polyester Making Manager
4 To provide assistance to the relevant Sales Team
5 To provide efficient and accurate dispatch of goods to customer base
6 To provide cover elsewhere in the Company where appropriate
7 To recognise and accept responsibility for all individual tasks undertaken

KEY TASKS

Duties consist of the following:-

1 Manufacture and assembly of paper and polyester products, boxes and envelopes.
2 To assist in the function of replenishment in the correct areas and accurate stock control
2 To ensure that dispatch deadlines and targets are met on a daily basis to ensure good customer service
3 To assist with co-ordination of cover and ensure a continuous workload within the section

4 Box machine and platen
a. load and unload all materials on/in machine
b. set machine for all products (including new and experimental)
c. make adjustments to machine to keep good quality product
d. run machines at the most productive speed at all times
e. ensure good quality products from machine at all times
f. pack products as they come off the machine
1. report any problems/faults that the operator cannot fix

General
a. keep machines clean and tidy
b. ensure all tools are put on shadow board
c. keep gangways clear and unobstructed
d. any hand assembly jobs that are needed
e. operate any equipment/new equipment once trained
f. work in other areas if asked to do so
g. any other task that might be required to fulfil a production order
h To ensure that the section is kept tidy and hazard free at all times
i To carry out any other duties as reasonably requested


SKILLS:
1. Platen experience desirable
2. Honest, reliable and dedicated.
3. Manual dexterity
4. Attention to detail
5. Ability to use tools and machinery
6. Meticulous attention to detail.
7. Strong work ethic.
8. Experienced in stock management software.
9. Physically and mentally fit.
10. Calm head and solid problem solver.
11. Clear understanding and appreciation of health and safety procedures
12. Full C1 driving licence and FLT license desirable
