Sitting in IB&M’s Global Institutional Banking Coverage business, Corporate Client Coverage team is responsible for originating new business opportunities, proactively advising, structuring and executing product solutions tailored to the needs of our client group comprising major corporate and government clients and institutional investors in Real Estate, Infrastructure, Media, Technology, Education, Health, Industrials, Transport and Consumer. We provide a full range of capital raising solutions across the financing spectrum, transactional banking, trade finance, and risk management products and services tailored to the needs of our client groups to support their strategic objectives.

As an Associate Director, you will work on a wide range of transactions and play a key role in delivering overall relationship management for your clients that will enable you to respond to their needs as well as identify and execute new business opportunities, making a positive impact for our client and the Bank.
Further responsibilities will include:
· Relationship management of a portfolio of clients to deliver capital, transactional and risk management solutions.
· Providing support to the team’s senior bankers in covering and servicing the needs of our clients including their operational requirements and enquiries.
· Providing expertise and unique insights into market and industry conditions in order to identify and originate viable transaction, structuring and business opportunities.
· Cultivating and owning relationships with client’s Treasury and C-Suite executives.
· Leading and supporting a deal or project team in transaction execution.
· Coordinating with internal business partners within the bank to develop and execute client engagement strategy, including the preparation of external client presentations.
· Identify and actively manage the full spectrum of risks associated with the origination and on-going management of clients.
· Providing leadership and development to junior bankers.
The role reports to Executive Director, Corporate Client Coverage, based in Singapore who is responsible for regional business development in Asia.
This role requires a highly motivated and customer-obsessed individual with proven experience working with corporate customers. As such, we require a highly skilled candidate with:
- A strong academic background with tertiary studies in Business related discipline.
- 5+ years proven experience in engaging with clients at a senior level to discuss new concepts, ideas and financing opportunities to meet their funding and organisational needs and priorities.
- An extensive background in Institutional banking with an acute understanding of key drivers affecting the various industry sectors.
- Good understanding of risk management and credit risk issues.
- Demonstrable strong interpersonal, collaboration and negotiation skills combined with the ability to build complex structured transactions and deliver exceptional client presentations.
- Previous experience in leading teams and developing capability
