Job Description
1) Data Protection and Privacy:
- Develop, implement, and maintain data protection policies and procedures in accordance with legal requirements and industry best practices.
- Ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable frameworks.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in data protection processes.
2) Data Governance:
- Collaborate with the Data Governance team to establish data management policies that align with organizational goals.
- Support the development and maintenance of a data governance framework, including data standards, policies, and procedures.
- Work to improve data quality and integrity across the organization.
3) Risk Management:
- Identify and assess data protection risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Manage data breach incidents, including investigation, response, and reporting.
4) Training and Awareness:
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on data protection and privacy best practices.
- Foster a culture of data protection awareness throughout the organization.
5) Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Act as a point of contact for data protection queries and issues within the organization.
- Collaborate with IT, legal, compliance, and other relevant departments to ensure cohesive data protection strategies.
6) Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and present reports on data protection activities, risks, and compliance status to senior management.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of data protection policies, procedures, and compliance efforts.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of data protection regulations, excellent communication skills, and experience with data management tools
- Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) or similar certification is preferred.
- Preferably has experience working with cross-geographical teams
- 3-5 years in data protection, privacy, or a related field.
