General Summary:
The Buyer-in-Training (BIT) position is the required entry-level position into CarMax’s Merchandising department. Under general supervision, BITs are responsible for acquiring and managing CarMax’s extensive used car inventory through the successful completion of Customer appraisal assessments
and appraisal offers, coordinating on-site Wholesale Auctions, and attending various regional auctions as assigned. BITs will spend approximately 4-6 months completing a comprehensive training program under the supervision of a Manager that educates them on vehicle basics, market analytics, and
offsite behaviors.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
· Ability to independently evaluate and negotiate current market prices, understand and assess vehicle damage and subsequent costs involved, and make financially sound purchasing and pricing decisions for the company through customer assessments and offers, offsite auctions, or
online venues.
· Conduct vehicle appraisal offers, coordinate on-site Wholesale Auctions, and attend offsite auctions as assigned.
· Conduct accurate vehicle condition assessments by collecting, recording, and communicating all required information.
· Deliver exceptional customer service and work with other departments to create Iconic Customer experiences.
· Support the execution and sustainment of new store procedures, processes, and technology platforms.
· Utilize technology to effectively collaborate with team members at other locations.
· Execute initiatives and fundamentals, including Offer Role and Offsite.
· Successfully complete the Buyer-in-Training program.

Qualifications:

General Summary:

General Summary:

Under general supervision, deliver exceptional customer service by acting as a liaison between the customer and retail technician (Traditional), or mechanical associate (Flow) on the phone before, during, and after the service/repair processes.

Provide an iconic customer experience - Summary:

Under general direction from the Business Office Manager, this position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service in a fast paced, team-oriented environment through the facilitation of the sales, auction, and appraisal process. About this job

The Coordinator II, Accounts Receivable is responsible for working with CarMax stores, external partners, customers, and other internal partners to process refunds. The responsibilities in this role are cross-functional across multiple desks.  Duties include performing various accounting tasks such as completing journal entries, account reconciliations, researching and resolving errors or offsets, verifying customer history to ensure adherence to the company policies for issuing refunds, and providing exceptional customer service by resolving email inquiries.  A successful Coordinator II in Accounts Receivable must demonstrate strong teamwork, a drive to deliver timely, high-quality work and a commitment to customer service.

Typical responsibilities may include:

• Process refunds daily, including completing internal verifications and keying vendor information.
• Review return paperwork and customer history to determine adherence to company policies for processing refunds.

General Summary:

Under general supervision, deliver exceptional customer service by acting as a liaison between the customer and retail technician (Traditional), or mechanical associate (Flow) on the phone before, during, and after the service/repair processes.  

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

♦ Meet and greet all service customers in a friendly manner conveying exceptional customer service skills and empathy throughout the entire customer interaction.

♦ Assist Service/Customer Operators with incoming service calls when needed.

♦ Accurately interview and document customer concerns.

♦ Establish specific call time with each customer to update them on the status of their vehicle and consistently meet those call time commitments, (This may require multiple calls to the same customer each day).

♦ Create repair orders, and route work to technicians or mechanical associates. 

♦ Obtain accurate estimates and approvals for Extended Service Policy (ESP) claims.

♦ Consult with customers regarding needed repairs. 

♦ Review repair orders for work performed and accuracy of all labor, parts and sublet documentation for billing. .

♦ Close and invoice repair orders.

♦ Clearly explain and communicate all recommendations/repairs/service/maintenance performed to ensure customer understanding.

Except as otherwise required by state law, CarMax Associates are entitled to the following paid sick, vacation, and holiday time.

Associates that are considered full-time hourly or commission/incentive eligible:

• To earn up to 48 hours of sick time per year accrued on a per pay period basis and between 80 hours and 200 hours per year of vacation time after a 90 day waiting period depending on years of continuous service with the Company. 
• For 8 hours of pay for each of a total of 6 paid scheduled holidays per year plus 1 floating holiday.  If such an Associate does work on a scheduled holiday due to business need, they are eligible for Holiday Premium Pay. 

Associates considered full-time salaried are entitled to paid time away with no specified limit as needed for sick, vacation, bereavement, jury duty, holidays, floating holiday, etc. subject to manager approval.

General Summary:

At CarMax, all new managers complete a structured four-month training program to ensure they are prepared to succeed in their new role.  The Front-Line Manager in Training is a training and development program designed to give a new CarMax manager the tools they need to assume the role of a Front-Line Manager within the Service Operations department.  All Front-Line Managers in Training must successfully complete the training program before taking on the role of a Front-Line Manager.

Training includes learning the following:
•    Roles and responsibilities of functional areas within Service Operations
•    End to end production process including inventory management, cosmetic and mechanical repair

SUMMARY:

The Business Office Manager (BOM) is responsible for all aspects of the Business Office at one or more assigned locations.  As a senior manager the BOM collaborates with Sales, Operations, and Purchasing teams to create an exceptional associate and customer experience aligned with CarMax culture.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Management of team, cash procedures, and paperwork processes associated with the sale, wholesale, servicing, and purchase of vehicles
• Utilizes reports, analyzes information, and monitors trends to identify opportunities in the business  
• Displays financial responsibility through P&L management  
• Identifies opportunities to reduce waste; identifies process improvements that are value added for customer and associate experience
• Interviews, hires, trains and promotes associates to support Business Office operations and company growth
• Ensures positive associate engagement and associate development through timely and effective feedback, to include individual meetings, file reviews, performance management, and the Annual Performance Review (APR) process  
• Serves as a member of senior management team; collaborates to set strategy for the store and provides vision, direction, and motivation to team
• Champions and implements both company and store initiatives for consistent execution and continuous improvement 
• Manages daily Business Office operations by interpreting, communicating and executing  policies and procedures
• Resolves customer and associate issues
