As a team member of the Security Team, you will have a group and individual responsibility for defined aspects of the service and will ensure that your contribution is both positive and beneficial in helping Trust Security, Capital Estates and Facilities Management and other departments of the Trust to fulfil the Trust’s overall objectives.
You will contribute to the work of the Security Team, to ensure that the Security Service meets agreed standards, providing a secure environment, along with a patient centred approach.
You will carry a personal responsibility to plan your time, in collaboration with the Security Manager, to ensure you complete allocated tasks within agreed timescales and within the constraints of the Trust’s policies and procedures.
You will be expected to work with Trust Security Management, and lead through accountability and responsibility in the delivery of a 24/7 Security service within the Trust.
The role of the Security Supervisor is to support Trust Security in the delivery of Security Services to the Trust.
Provide direct management to the CUH Operational Security Team, with accountability and responsibility for successful implementation and day to day shift management, ensuringthat each shift runs smoothly and efficiently in respect ofprioritisation anddeployment.
Provide direct leadership and overall management accountability to on-going security incidents and Trust emergency situations.
Ensure that a qualitative service is delivered that meets the departments SLAs, through both direct management and auditing of service delivery, as well as the expectations of the Trusts staff, patients and the general public.
Carry out regular security supervisory duties and beresponsible for maintaining a professional approach to work, responding in a rapid manner to all security and emergency incidentsin keeping with a healthcare environment.
Be involved daily in high level impact and intense situations, requiring the regular use of conflict management and physical intervention, resulting in a physical and mentally demanding role.
