As a Supervisory Export Policy Analyst, you will perform the following duties:

• Provide policy direction, advice, and guidance to the Department of Commerce (DOC) operating units in developing and implementing effective export licensing.
• Oversee studies of major categories of commodities and technical data in terms of their potential for unwanted technology transfer, and of technology-transfer mechanisms to identify effective control techniques and strategies.
• Monitor technology transfer developments in Division-related items, and prepare analyses and recommendations, as appropriate, to keep the export control system grounded on a sound technical foundation.
• Review and approve departmental technical arguments for presentation to the Operating Committee, Advisory Committee on Export Policy, and Export Administration Review Board.
• Provide DOC positions and technical expertise in the development of U.S. export control/decontrol proposals.
• Maintain liaison and consultative coordination with other components of DOC, interagency to resolve problems and other matters of mutual interest.
• Establish and maintain contacts with exporters, manufacturers, officials of other government agencies, and foreign trade representatives to obtain information and provide technical advice with respect to specific cases and to keep informed on commodity/industry developments.

As an Export Policy Analyst, you will perform the following duties:

• Integrates U.S. industry's economic/regulatory concerns into the Bureau's development of regulations and the Export Control Reform Act.
• Represents the Bureau and the Department's position at interagency meetings.
• Resolves outstanding interagency issues rarely involving senior Departmental officials.
• Analyzes and processes U.S. export control license applications involving embargoes, special controls, and items that are controlled for crime control reasons in accordance with the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) through the use of electronic databases.
• Reviews prior cases for license history, approvals, and denials.
• Addresses and provides guidance to the export community on export control policies and regulations for proper submission of license applications.

As a Supervisory Criminal Investigator/Assistant Director, you will perform the following duties:

• Assists the Deputy Director and Director in developing guidelines, procedures, and formulating plans and policies for use by personnel
• Establishes and maintains liaison contacts in all areas of the law enforcement community
• Recommends and initiates improvements to enhance the efficiency and productivity of investigative staff
• Directs and manages all administrative enforcement activities
• Supervises criminal investigators and other staff who perform Investigative Programs related functions

As a Supervisory Export Enforcement Specialist/ Assistant Director, you will perform the following duties:

• Assists the Deputy Director and Director in developing guidelines, procedures, and formulating plans and policies for use by personnel
• Establishes and maintains liaison contacts in all areas of the law enforcement community
• Recommends and initiates improvements to enhance the efficiency and productivity of investigative staff
• Directs and manages all administrative enforcement activities.
• Supervise Export Enforcement Analysts and other staff, who perform VSD related functions.

As a Supervisory Export Enforcement Specialist/Assistant Director, you will perform the following duties:

• Represent the agency authoritatively to key government and business officials and organizations.
