Quaestor Advisors, LLC (“Quaestor”) is an affiliated Special Servicer, which provides mid- and back-office services, including asset management, to Arena Investors and external clients.

Quaestor is looking to expand the team through the addition of an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist. In this role, this individual will work within the Corporate Accounting team.  Ideal candidates will be organized, self-motivated, resourceful and able to work effectively with all internal functional groups.  

Responsibilities:

•Maintain Accounts Receivable master roll forward with expenses, cash receipts, and accurate customer coding

•Reconcile monthly to general ledger & expense schedules to ensure accurate reporting of customer receivables

•Assist with billing and collections processes and coordinate with Operations, Asset Management, & Accounting to ensure timely recovery to the management company

•Retrieve daily cash activity from banking system and liaise with Treasury Accountant to book in NetSuite

•Research and resolve ad hoc queries related to customer outstanding balances

•Process cash transfers in wire system related to Accounts Receivable transactions

•Prepare monthly accounts receivable aging reports for management

•Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.

The successful candidate will be expected to originate, evaluate, and execute investment ideas and manage deal processes throughout APAC, in all illiquid asset classes including but not limited to corporate credit, real estate, and structured finance among others. Proven ability to create new PnL sources organically whether as an intrapreneur or in a startup venture is a plus.

Arena’s investments are typically complex, flexibly structured, geographically / industry agnostic, and usually considered to be “non-traditional” or “esoteric” illiquid middle market positions.  The firm follows an investment process that is fundamentals driven and capitalizes upon “process driven wrinkles,” “perceived risk”, and other “special situations” in order to generate superior risk-adjusted returns.  The successful candidate will have experience illiquid asset classes and have at least one sector, geography, or asset class specialty while having a strong general experience illiquid investments.

Arena has a flexible multi-strategy investment mandate to directly originate both performing and non-performing opportunities in corporate, specialty finance, real estate, and energy investments.  Transaction sizes typically range from $10 to $50 million.

• Develop financial models and perform data / investment analysis.

Quaestor is looking to expand the team through the addition of a newly qualified accountant. Ideal candidates will be organized, self motivated, resourceful and able to work effectively with all internal functional groups.

Responsibilities:

•Coordinate the monthly close process of management companies, general partners, and affiliated

entities

•Corporate accounting journal entry and finalization of trial balance

•Manage expense allocations and review payments across complex corporate and fund structures

•Performing bank reconciliation

•Assistance in management reporting and budgeting/forecasting process including budget vs actual

analysis and cash flow projections

•Drive efficiencies across all management company accounting functions through process improvements

and technology enhancements

•Preparation of quarterly board packages and KPI metrics reports

•Assist in ad hoc requests, technology initiatives, and special projects

Quaestor Advisors (“Quaestor”) is an affiliated Special Servicer, which provides mid and back-office services, including asset management, to Arena Investors and external clients. The firm currently has offices in Bengaluru, New York, San Francisco, London, Dublin, Singapore and Aukland.

Quaestor is looking to expand the team through the addition of a AVP/VP Credit Restructuring/Workout professional. In this role, this individual will initially work independently but ultimately will be expected to grow and manage a small team.  The Asset Management Group’s primary responsibilities include portfolio surveillance, maximization of return for the firm’s investment portfolio, and asset valuation. Ideal candidates will be organized, self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work effectively with all internal functional groups.   

•  Independently manage a wide range of bespoke illiquid credit investments including monitoring of business and financial performance of the portfolio counterparty as well as research and analysis of market dynamics.

• Review financial statements, 13-week cash flow statements, covenants
• Negotiate and carry out amendments, waivers, consents and any other legal documents pertaining to the asset under management in both out of court and in court restructuring processes
• Analyze, propose, negotiate, and implement the sale or refinancing of assets.
• Ability to effectively communicate both internally and externally with C-Suite individuals.
• Responsible for monthly valuation of all assigned financings.
• Must be a “Player Coach”, with personal responsibility for modeling and managing complicated assets, while overseeing and training team members and support analysts.
• Extensive interface with Front Office, Asset Management, Finance and Operations teams, as well as Quaestor Strategic Advisors
• Prepare presentations that will include background information, transaction structure, financial projections, and restructure recommendations.

• 10+ years industry experience in credit and restructuring roles.
• Strong fundamental credit, negotiating and influencing skills, and loan document familiarity/knowledge
• Heavy exposure to legal processes, including bankruptcy and UCC foreclosure. Must be able to direct attorneys through the restructure process.
• Exposure to diverse credit structures, complicated structured illiquid transactions, and a broad base of industries.
• Ability to write clear and concise memoranda.

• Review of Deal closing documentation including drafts of Credit Agreement, Loan agreements or purchase agreements and funds flow.
