As an QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST, GS-1910-11, you will:

• Determine the proficiency and qualifications of certified personnel.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The purpose of this position is to provide trained and qualified Air and Space Operations Center (AOC) Command and Control (C2) warriors to augment MAJCOM deployable AOCs worldwide at the operational level of war. The state mission is to provide support to civil authorities, as directed by the Governor, for disaster relief, public safety, search and rescue, and civil defense, and Continuity of Operations. Must be trained and ready to function in a senior level position in a coalition AOC reporting to the C/JFACC at the 3-star level. Accordingly, must direct all actions that prepare unit members to perform at the operational level of war in an AOC. Responsibility to possess a working knowledge of all Air Force Weapon Systems and their capabilities, as well as a clear understanding of the systems and capabilities of other DOD components, NATO nations, and other coalition partners. This mastery level knowledge is required to sustain the development and execution of a daily Air Tasking Order for a minimum of 30 days at 500 missions per day. Due to the unique mission of the, C-MAJCOM, this PD cannot be used in any other organization.

• Determines squadron goals for long- and short-range planning and execution of all programs.

• Provides direction and leadership to unit members, including full-time air technicians and AGRs as well as traditional Guardsmen.

As a Theater Aerospace Operations Command and Control Specialist, GS-2101-11, you will administer refresher and advance training to ANG military AOC weapons systems positional specialists. Instruct and evaluate AOC assigned technician personnel in advanced aerospace operations applications using current AOC weapons systems of record. Instruct and evaluate enlisted AOC specialties to become instructors. Instruct same to function within established joint doctrinal principles to support the planning and prosecution of theater level joint operations. Monitor progress during training and advise when AOC personnel are ready for positional certification. Interview assigned enlisted AOC personnel to determine operational background in their respective weapons systems/specialties. Prescribe type, sequence, and extent of required training. Perform as instructor and/or examiner, evaluating and examining AOC personnel to determine preparation for the application of aerospace force/operations, proficiency during actual operations, instructional ability, technical competence, and post operations critique. Determine progress and proficiency levels, provide requalification evaluations, and direct/provide specialized remedial or additional training as necessary.

As a Joint Interface Control Analyst, GS-0301-12, you will apply broad and expansive knowledge and education of military, civil, and data link capabilities in support of AOC operations. Responsible to the CONR JICO in the daily execution and personnel training of the multi-TDL operation in and around the CONUS which includes working with all U.S. and Canadian military services. Responsible for conducting the continued planning, re-planning and problem resolution to establish, execute, and maintain an effective long-term CONR data link architecture and OPTASKLINK in the face of technology change, increasing amount of data link assets, and increasingly complex operational interoperability issues. Responsible to maintain an understanding of the various weapon systems' data link capabilities and limiting factors with regards to protocols, bandwidth, and message implementation. Responsible to maintain functional knowledge of AOC command and control (C2) equipment in the nee cell and HCC equipment room. This includes operations, test and training with regards to appropriate message filters, network data load, crypto, assigned frequency, and network timing. Responsible to act as the watch officer responsible for the daily operation of the nee and for providing an accurate single integrated air picture (SIAP) to all network participants in and around the CONUS to maintainairspace control and safety of flight for operational and training assets. Authorizes and directs real-time changes to OPTASKLINK parameters to include data load, crypto, frequency, time slots, or network timing to trouble shoot and deconflict multi-TDL operations, test and training across the area of operation. Responsible to execute the JICO duties in the absence of the CONR JICO. Responsible to identify the TDL current and future information exchange requirements for the various systems missions tasked by our leadership.

As a ASOC Interface & Procedural Control Instructor, GS-2101-11 you will:

Perform the full range of WG-5823-10 duties and responsibilities. Possess the knowledge and skills found at the journey level as well as those required for planning, accomplishing, and maintaining a functional shop maintenance program.

Plan and lay out work to be accomplished in the shop, which is then completed by the incumbent and lower graded mechanic(s). Independently determine appropriate maintenance procedures such as how and when the work should be accomplished. Estimate manpower, equipment and material requirements. Devise and maintain all program plans and records, skilled in surveillance and troubleshooting techniques, and is able to determine maintenance/repair procedures needed without benefit of technical supervisory guidance. Plan, organize and direct shop maintenance programs/procedures under general supervision. Determine approach, methods and courses of action required to accomplish the mission of the shop in an effective and efficient manner.

May provide recommendations and input to the supervisor concerning personnel actions such as performance appraisals, awards, position descriptions changes, disciplinary actions, leave, etc. Implement safety regulatory requirements. Ensure that other workers in the shop wear appropriate safety equipment and follow pertinent safety precautions.

Instructs and evaluates all AOC specialists to become instructors. Instructs such personnel to function within established joint doctrinal principles to plan and prosecute theater-level joint operations.
