This position is located in an Air National Guard Aviation Wing, Maintenance Group. The purpose of this position is to supervise, establish and direct a planned, systematic approach of a quality assurance program designed to provide the maintenance managers confidence that aircraft, aircraft systems, products or supporting processes conform to technical, safety, work load and customer requirements. The position serves as the Supervisor of the Quality Assurance Division. In that capacity, the supervisor plans, implements, and executes a quality assurance program that includes independent surveillance and evaluations of all assigned aircraft, aircraft components, and maintenance personnel. This position is located in an Air National Guard (ANG) wing, Comptroller's Flight; The purpose of the position is to function as the Financial Management (FM) focal point for the Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) initiative, as well as, advise the Comptroller and Wing Commander in all matters relating to FM FIAR within the FM community. The incumbent will provide direction and leadership, under the Comptroller's authority, towards the planning, implementing and achievement of the FM FIAR initiative within the Wing. This work requires knowledge and skill in the application of related laws, regulations, precedents, methods, and techniques of budgeting.

As a SUPERVISORY COMMAND AND CONTROL SPECIALIST, GS-2101-11 your duties are below.

1. Establishes local procedures in compliance with command and control policies of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), Unified Commands, Air Mobility Command(AMC), United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM), National Guard Bureau(NGB), and federal. Informs the commander on the status, progress, problem areas, shortfalls, and limitations in command and control and recommends solutions to ensure mission accomplishment and national objectives are achieved. Responsible for writing mission plans in support of the wing's missions. Develops and constructs aircrew Quick Reaction Books (QRB) and operational reports package to support the mission. Serves as the command and control subject matter expert for all wing-planning activities. Manages and supervises the daily activities of the command post to include flying operations, console operations, administration, and training. Negotiates memorandum of understanding (MOU) with various agencies as required. Serves as the Point of Contact (POC) for the wing on all issues pertaining to command and control. Serves as the wing's representative to all command and control conferences, workshops, and working groups.
2. Ensures adequate protection and procedures are in place to safeguard resources, to include the physical security of the command post, the Crisis Action Team(CAT) and critical support systems. Develops procedures for emergencies and contingencies such as evacuation, bomb threat, etc. Serves as the COMSEC Responsible Officer (CRO) for the command post COMSEC user account. Periodically reviews, validates, and projects COMSEC requirements to ensure required materials are in place to support the evolving missions. Ensures personnel are properly trained in the use of the COMSEC materials and procedures. Ensures command post complies with operational, communications, transmission, and computer security requirements. Serves as the Top Secret Control Officer (TSCO) for the wing's Top Secret Account. Ensures wing compliance IAW governing directives.
3. Serves as a key member of the CAT during operational events and briefs commander on all significant actions taken by the command post. Informs the commander on the status, progress, problem areas, shortfalls, and limitations in command and control and recommends solutions to ensure mission accomplishment and national objectives are achieved. Directs recall of wing personnel as required. Coordinates with other agencies in the development of all reference guides, checklists, and displays utilized by the CAT. Provides administrative support to track and log CAT events.
4. Manages all aspects of command and control reporting. Advises commander on status of all reportable events to include operational, Strategic Force Accounting Module (SFAM), situational reporting (SITREP), and Status of Resources and Training System (SORTS). Serves as the subject matter expert on all reporting requirements for base agencies.
5. Oversees the custodial control and accountability of the command post and CAT facility to ensure proper utilization of wing resources. Manages changes as a result of MAJCOM directives, to include the proper installation of new or upgraded systems and equipment. Develops initial budgetary requirements, programs available dollars and identifies unfunded requirements to support command post supplies, equipment, training, and travel based on mission tasking as well as fixed base operations.
6. Responsible for employee safety, command and control procedures, and work practices within the command post. Administers Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) programs as they pertain to the command post.
7. Monitors Inspector General (IG) and MAJCOM reports and write-ups for the command post. Interprets inspection findings, briefs commander and ensures applicable write-ups are answered. Devises and implements solutions to correct problem areas. Inspections include, but are not limited to, Headquarters Air Mobility Command (AMC), Headquarters 15th Air Force, Command COMSEC, Safety, top secret Control Account audit, and security. Ensures self-inspections are conducted and evaluates results.
8. Manages the activities of assigned personnel. Assigns general and specific tasks for the accomplishment of the mission. Plans the work schedule to support operational events on a 24-hour basis to include the scheduling of personnel leave.

As a Command and Control Specialist, GS-0303-08, you will:

This position is located in an Air National Guard Aviation Wing, Operations Center/Command and Control Section (Command Post or CP) of an F-15 or F-16 Fighter Wing that supports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) alert tasking to include homeland defense, air defense, and conventional missions. The purpose of the position is to: provide command, control, communications, and information support to the commander, Survival Recovery Center (SRC), Battle Staff (BS), and Higher Headquarters (HHQ), to include NORAD, Continental U.S. North American Air Defense Command Region (CONR), Sector Operations Centers (Western, South Eastern, or North Eastern Air Defense Sectors), major commands (MAJCOMS), and the state Adjutant General; and provide first line of defense as it relates to command and control duties and responsibilities during operational events. This position plays an integral part in mission execution involving aircraft and aircrews, as well as maintaining contact with aircrews during the mission. The command post operates on a 24/7 rotating shift operation, monitoring and carrying out duties which include: overall mission status of the base and its assigned units, base wide security, initiating emergency procedures, aircrew recall, base Crisis Action Team notification, and other duties critical to the conduct of the mission assigned to the wing. Through authority granted by the Wing Commander, employees are empowered to act independently, coordinating with the commander, in order to accomplish the mission or meet the emergency response.

This position is located in Air National Guard (ANG) Aviation Wing, Air Traffic Control (ATC) Squadrons. The primary purpose of this position is: to provide tower, radar, and non-radar air traffic control (ATC) services to military and civilian aircraft operating under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR), Special Visual Flight Rules (SVFR), or Visual Flight Rules (VFR). Provides terminal ATC services to aircraft operating from primary and/or secondary airports within delegated airspace. Manages and directs controller actions and functions in Tower and Radar facilities as the primary watch supervisor and/or senior controller.

This position is located at an Air National Guard (ANG), Air Traffic Control Squadron(ATCS). Directly or through subordinate supervisors, the incumbent directs and supervises staff functions affecting a diverse and very complex Air Traffic Control System. Utilizes a comprehensive knowledge and ability to interpret Air Force Instructions, Technical Orders, engineering drawings, product specifications, Air Force Occupational and Health (AFOSH) and environmental standards, public law, and locally developed policy. Reviews all Operating Instructions (Ois) to ensure locally published instructions are technically accurate, complete and consistent with Air Force (AF) and Major Command (MAJCOM) policy. Coordinates with affected commanders on base and ensures the instruction is published as a wing operating instruction. Serves as a key team member in collating and reporting compliance metrics to Major Command(s).

Maintenance Standardization Evaluation Program (MSEP): Administers, evaluates, and coordinates a comprehensive quality assurance, maintenance standardization, and inspection program for all areas of the maintenance organization, all maintenance disciplines, job series and Air Force Specialty Codes (AFSCs). Evaluates the quality of maintenance accomplished in the maintenance organization and performs the necessary quality functions to execute the MSEP, designed to provide management an objective sampling of both the quality of equipment and the proficiency of maintenance personnel. Ensures the maintenance organization meets its responsibility for air-worthy aircraft and component quality for a broad and complex production workload, e.g., highly advanced aircraft, aircraft systems, avionics systems, electronic equipment, aircraft structures, composites, life safety systems, armament, munitions, and other areas of similar complexity. Participates in a review of the organization's quality plans, procedures and practices to assure adequacy and compliance to local and higher-level directives.

(a) Executes the evaluation program and accumulates data using Inspection and Evaluation techniques such as Task Evaluations, Quality Verification Inspections, Special Inspections, Personnel Evaluations and Management Inspections. Evaluates the quality of in-process and after-the-fact maintenance and ensures prescribed technical and management procedures are followed. Serves as the subject matter expert for critical assessment programs such as; Unit Self Inspections, Maintenance Standardization, Operational Readiness and Unit Compliance Inspections. Responsible for the development and maintenance of organizational level checklists. Ensures metrics are established and monitored to assess key result areas for successful mission accomplishment including, but not limited to, items where non-compliance would affect system reliability or result in serious injury, loss of life, excessive cost, or litigation. Evaluates the proficiency of assigned personnel in the execution of assigned maintenance tasking through Personnel Evaluations (PEs). Determines the proficiency and qualifications of certified personnel. Assess the relationship between personnel evaluation and technical inspection results to identify strengths or opportunities for improvement in the evaluation program.

Monitors and assesses the organization's quality program and elements of the program to gauge compliance with directives and established processes. Identifies deficiencies, implements corrective measures, and improves processes to enhance mission effectiveness and efficiency. Ensures safety, security, and Consolidated Tool Kit {CTK) programs are followed in accordance with applicable regulations and public law through the routine inspection of work centers.
