Job description
Within Accuracy, you will find yourself immersed in some of the most interesting disputes in complex engineering, construction and infrastructure projects worldwide. As a key team member, you will play a vital role in supporting our teams by providing technical, analytical and reporting assistance to a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from subcontractors to project owners. Your involvement extends from providing support and actively engaging in negotiations, all the way to helping in expert evidence during international arbitration and litigation proceedings.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include reviewing, analysing and summarising project schedules, progress reports, factual chronologies and/or construction contracts. You can expect to be involved in project delay, disruption and cost-overrun (quantum) analysis, reviews of actual versus forecast progress and interpreting contracts, each of which will require your work to be summarised in presentations and reports addressed to clients, courts and tribunals.
You will also be expected to manage and assist the professional growth of analysts and associates, collaborating with the quantum expert team and being able to work closely with the legal team on dispute matters. Your skills will be instrumental in summarizing your work into presentations and reports addressed to clients, courts and tribunals.

Core activities
· Undertake, manage and act as key client liaison;
· Meeting with client solicitors in connection with dispute related work;
· Acting as lead assistant in the preparation of expert reports relating to project planning, scheduling, delay and related issues
· Aim to autonomously manage a project (analysis, deliverable, time and budget)
· Structure analyses to be carried out by less experienced team members and reviews the quality of the work performed, including for (technical) consistency and completeness
· Triangulates and cross-checks of information provided, or calculations performed
· Identifies key issues arising during an engagement independently and develops his/her own solutions relating to main project issues or risks. Summarizes findings to director/partner
· Structures and drafts report sections and/or creates draft presentations
· Start managing client’s relationships and communications, including the manager / director or engagement partner
· Actively provides support in training of analysts on internal/external technical standards and industry developments
· Shows efficient organization when involved in two assignments
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who are logical, analytical, dynamic and self-confident yet humble. You will need to demonstrate curiosity, enthusiasm, willingness to learn, a commercial interest, common sense, and attention to detail.
Preferably you will possess the following requirements:
· Experience in a similar role (consultancy on construction projects and/or disputes) and/or experience on construction projects (project management, scheduling management) – Preferably around 8 – 10 years of experience.
· Outstanding academic track record in engineering (civil, mechanical or industrial).
· Strong interest and knowledge in project management and energy/civil engineering.
· Exceptional numerical and analytical skills, commercial awareness and attention to detail.
· Fluency in English with excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly the ability to summarise (fluency in other languages is also desirable but not essential)
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Advanced Microsoft Office, project scheduling (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) skills are highly valued.
· Experience in adjudication and/or arbitration would be advantageous
