Marsh is seeking candidates for the following position based in our Melbourne office:
OHS Consultant.
- Full time permanent role.
- Based in Victoria (Melbourne or regional).

About the role:
A unique safety consulting opportunity currently exists within our Victorian consulting practice. The role entails working within a team of specialist safety consultants delivering OHS services including risk assessments, incident investigations, workplace inspections and providing advice and support to clients on all matters relating to OHS.
As a Consultant within the practice, key responsibilities will include:
- Providing clients with strategic and operational solutions to their OHS and risk management needs.
- Establishing and developing relationships with key client contacts.
- Working as part of a team for key client projects to reduce incidents through OHS programs.
- Excellent written advice and report writing whilst ensuring deadlines are met on time and in scope.
- Documenting all communications to enable effective reporting to clients on performance.
- Conducting online and onsite visits to assess risk and provide advice.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- A minimum Certificate IV in OHS.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in safety, health and/or related disciplines is highly regarded.
- Prior experience working in a safety role is highly regarded.
- A solid understanding of Victorian OHS legislation and risk management.
- Ability to learn new technology and online systems is necessary.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- A current driver licence and own vehicle.
- Experience and speciality in mental health is highly desirable.
Crucial to your success in this role is the ability to effectively communicate, problem solve, influence and build credible relationships at all levels, both internally and with clients. Strong organisation and planning skills, as well the ability to work with high levels of initiative and to strict deadlines are essential in this role.
The opportunity to work on client sites will frequently be offered and some overnight travel, where relevant for projects, will be required (expenses reimbursed).
