The first bank to hold three world’s best bank titles at the same time, and the creator of the award-winning mini-series, is looking for a Content Strategist with deep expertise in social media, particularly TikTok, to join its Group Strategic Marketing & Communications (GSMC) team.
Working together with GSMC’s Content Team, this Content Strategist is responsible for conceptualising, designing and executing content marketing experiences for social media, in particular TikTok, that are on-brand and on-trend.
The individual should: be well-versed in digital media production for short form videos, with an intimate understanding of TikTok micro-trends and lingo, have a keen understanding of how marketing campaigns are brought to life from ideation, to publishing, to amplification.
The Content Strategist will be expected to work across departments to translate campaigns and culture for the TikTok platform and audience.
The individual should also have a proven track record of either growing a personal following, or corporate accounts.
Key accountabilities:
1. Tell engaging stories and be responsible for TikTok content seriesthat may run on a daily publishing calendar.
2. Design and conceptualise complex content marketing campaigns in partnership with multiple internal and external stakeholders. Ensure end-to-end integration of brand messaging with minimal supervision under tight deadlines.
Job duties & responsibilities:
1. Drive and produce TikTok content formats that are sticky, with compelling messages that strengthen Bank’s positioning and persona
2. Deliver videos with the right composition of editorial and creative elements to tell stories about Bank’s areas of focus, including people and culture.
3. Have experience with TikTok community management and understand the TikTok audience psyche
4. Able to react on the spot to trends, and provide video responses to comments where necessary
5. Ensure quality and consistency, and speak the language of TikTok in materials produced and published
6. Support the production of content series' for other social media platforms.
Experience:
3-5 years’ experience in digital media.
Education/ Preferred qualifications:
Diploma/Degree qualifications from polytechnics/ film & media/ advertising/marketing/communications/ journalism or digital broadcast media.
Core competencies:
1. Proven work experience and skills in end-to-end creative content production and online publishing - from ideation to amplification.
2. Article and/or project portfolio that showcases your writing style and ability to craft TikToks.
3. Passionate about and skilful in delivering engaging and relatable (audio-visual) storytelling through digital media that speaks directly to viewers/readers.
4. Enjoy tapping into TikTok trends and understand immediate requirements to push out videos quickly to ride the trend.
5. Highly developed communication, interpersonal and influencing
skills to motivate and work cooperatively with others, at all levels.
6. Creative and innovative, with a focus on continuous improvement.
7. Proven ability of being an exceptional team player, collaborating with multiple content owners and subject matter experts.
8. Strong sense of ownership of results.
Technical competencies:
1. Social media native with understanding in audience and content consumption data to support the creative decision-making process.
2. Deep operational knowledge and content development expertise for TikTok
3. Proficiency in digital video editing/ post-production
4. Well-versed in spoken and written English
5. Understanding and use of data and research to inform a content strategies
6. Experience in managing and optimising content on social media accounts
