Job Description:
Airbus Defense & Space Spain is a leading Instruments, Telecommunication Antennas and Satellites manufacturer. As the Spainsat Next Generation (SNG) X-Band Active antennas prime contractor is driving the design and production of the most innovative X-Band active antennas built in Europe. The RF AIT Engineer will joining the AIT department for Instrument/Payloads/Active Antennas RF integration and testing activities and in particular to be part of the SNG Project integrated team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Participation during the project design phase to ensure design for MAIT.
• Review RF and electrical test specifications.
• Perform RF measurements on flight equipment using specific automated test equipment and standard instrumentation (ex. Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Power Signal Generator and Power Meter).
•Perform electrical integration of flight equipment using specific automated test equipment and standard instrumentation (ex. multimeter, oscilloscope...).
• Write step-by-step procedures for RF and electrical integration measurements.
• Develop and run test procedures and automated test sequence (test scripts) using "test systems" according to the RF test specifications during the different project AIT phases.
•Analysis of test results, generation of test reports, contribution to Non Conformance Reports definition and support to failure investigations.
• Test equipment / Test systems specification and technical follow-on.
• Participation in formal reviews with costumers.
• AIT activities coordination and planning.
• Responsibility for delivering on time, on cost and on quality.
• Capability to work in multidisciplinary environments.
SKILLS
• Educational Background: RF & Antenna Engineer (Telecommunications Engineering)
• Use of "test systems" for automated RF testing
• Experience of 2-3 years in Active Antennas.
• Very desirable work experience in Satellite applications.
• Good conceptual understanding of RF chains parameters (S-params, Gain, NF, P1dB, G/T, IM, etc.)
• Good knowledge of RF circuits and components (Amplifiers, attenuators, phase shifters, power combiners/dividers, directional couplers, filters, mixers, switches, etc.)
• Good understanding of antenna concepts (Directivity, Gain, VSWR, XPD, FA, etc)
• Use of standard instrumentation equipment as multimeters, oscilloscope, Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Power Signal, Generator and Power Meter.
• Practical / Hands on experience in electrical and RF tests
• Knowledge in test languages and test environments for automated test sequences (test scripts) development.
• Clean room working experience
• Knowledge on space systems, active antennas, RF engineering, communications protocols, standard electrical interfaces
• Knowledge in RF AIT processes.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Flexible working time in normal shift but occasionally early/late/night shifts may be required.
• It may be required to work during weekend in very specific situations.
• Time flexibility is required.
• Flexibility to work abroad during specific AIT phases
OTHERS
• Able to work in an integrated AIT Team working in close cooperation with the Design/Engineering team
• Able to work autonomously in a proactive and responsible manner.
• Able to work in several projects managing the workload
• Able to work in an organized and ordered manner complying with the Company AIT and Quality standards.
