Job Description:
Allied health professional who is specifically trained and educated to provide or manage the provision of a custom-designed, fabricated, modified and fitted external orthosis or fitted external limb prosthesis to a patient based on clinical assessment and physicians prescription to restore physiological function encompassing all age groups.
Education Qualifications:
Education in orthotics and prosthetics must have been acquired from a program.
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
Accredited by the National Commission on Orthotic and Prosthetic Education (NCOPE) OR the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
Practitioners who successfully complete the education experience and examination requirements prescribed by the American Board of Certification. (ABC) or are board eligible. This includes certified orthotist ( C.O.), certified prosthetist (C.P.) or certified orthotist/prosthetics (C.P.O.).
Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license as verified through appropriate licensing agency.
Must meet the driving requirements and criteria acceptable to Essentia Health 's insurer.
