As a UX Designer you'll be expected to bring creative range and a depth of thinking to this role.  You'll be at the forefront of UX design solutions that employ and improve our principles, standards and design patterns, centred around best practice, consistency and re-use.  You’ll consider the holistic customer experience and the end to end journeys, ensuring clear journey maps are in place and maintained as well as designing new features and continuously improving our current journeys.

You will work collaboratively with a wider UX/Research team, the BA’s and the developers, ensuring your designs flow technically and working through any technical challenges, ensuring the customer journeys is always protected.

What you will do:

• Conduct user research to understand the needs, behaviours, and pain points of pension holders and administrators.
• Analyse user feedback, usability testing results, and metrics to identify opportunities for improvement in the pension service platform.
• Create wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes to visualize and iterate on design concepts.
• Ensure that designs adhere to GDS design principles, emphasizing simplicity, clarity, and accessibility.
• Develop visually appealing and consistent user interfaces for digital pension platforms, considering branding guidelines and accessibility standards.
• Ensure that pension service platforms comply with accessibility standards (such as WCAG) to accommodate users with diverse abilities and needs.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders throughout the design process to align on project goals and priorities.
• Iterate on design solutions based on user feedback, stakeholder input, and usability testing results.
• Use an agile methodology to rapidly prototype, test, and refine design concepts, ensuring continuous improvement of the pension service platform.

What we are looking for:

• Demonstrable experience in designing digital journeys (Experience in creating wireframes, prototypes and user flows), with an understanding of design standards, accessibility and SEO.
• Can demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to articulate information in front of stakeholders.
• You must be analytical and be comfortable reviewing data to identify challenges in journeys and recommend solutions.  You must be able to clearly articulate issues and work with IT on solutions for compelling journey improvement.
• You need to be able to influence wider teams to buy into the importance customer centric focus and design
• Experience of working within Financial Services and pensions would be preferable
• Knowledge of working with design tools such as Figma & Adobe Suite

What you’ll be doing:

Key responsibilities

• To work with the Senior Data Technicians, Scheme Events Leads and Scheme Event Manager to deliver requirements for Scheme Events and Projects (time scales, deliverables, quality, sign off) and to input into the planning process.
• To be responsible for the accuracy and quality of Scheme Events and Projects.
• Identifying and reporting risks and breaches immediately to the Breach Specialists and Service Delivery Manager and to the Operational Risk & Compliance Department and ensuring the appropriate controls are in place to facilitate this.

Key tasks

• To deliver key projects and scheme events.
• To promote the provision of a first class experience for customers and to share knowledge and expertise with other team members.
• Running and specifying data extracts from the administration system including bespoke reports.
• Transforming extracted data or data received into the required format and structure
• Performing bulk calculations in Excel

What we’re looking for:

Essential

• Knowledge of DB and/or DC schemes
• Accuracy, attention to detail and quality management
• Excel - Demonstrate the ability to use filters, sorting, pivot tables (rows, columns, grouping, filters and totalling).
• Excel – Can use formulas including lookups, IF and nested IF statements, date calculations and formatting of cells to specific guidelines.
• Excel - Can import data/text files and use data validation
• A Level Maths or Degree with maths element or Work experience involving complex data analysis

What you will be doing:

• Supporting the policy & procedure and administration teams in the delivery of services
• Be responsible for supporting the administration team and projects by identifying innovative ways of improving processes and their implementation

The Data Team sit within our Implementation Department whose responsibility it is to implement first class pension administration solutions for our new and existing clients. Our span of projects can range from large blue chip strategic transformational deliveries through to small bespoke client solutions. Working closely with other stakeholders our activities and skills are wide and varied.

The Data Team provide a key role in implementation projects by using a variety of tools and techniques to migrate data to our HartLink system from other administration and payroll platforms, transforming the data to optimise operational efficiency.

What you’ll be doing:

• Liaise with clients during the implementation cycle to understand their requirements, data, processes and systems, and make recommendations on how to implement our product(s)/service(s)
• Own and be responsible for performing ad-hoc or unusual Implementation data processes
• Support and develop junior team members, and manage junior resource for specific tasks
• Gather and interpret client requirements and processes, translate these into online solutions
• Undertake system demonstrations to existing clients

• Identify, collate and document scheme/product information
• Support the technical development of our technology platforms through participation in analysis and design, and specification production for new and/or enhanced developments
• Feed into project management activities including risk and issue identification and mitigation
• Performing Implementation data processes including:
  • Analysis of received, transformed and migrated data
  • Transforming data to required formats and structures
  • Supporting the load of transformed data to target systems
  • Perform any system configuration operations required
  • Recording issues in appropriate logs and escalating where required to line manager, previous administrator, Pensions Operations etc
  • Liaise with other teams, internal or external, to perform handover operations

What we’re looking for:

• Knowledge of pension schemes and can explain the difference between DB, DC, CARE and Annuities and how they are administered
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience of data migration including analysis of data requirements, data analysis, data mapping (from and to pension systems) and configuration
• Evidence of involvement in client-focused project delivery
• Strong communication skills

Other desirable skills we look for:

• Knowledge of programming languages, such as SQL and Python

You will be supporting  Project Managers and Implementation Consultants through the efficient delivery of project tasks and mentoring and coaching Implementation Analysts.

What you’ll be doing:

• Analyse Calculation requirements
• Undertake system configuration, data anlysis, and testing
• Upload and download system data
• Participate in client meetings and project status calls
• Liaise with clients, third parties and Capita departments

What we’re looking for:

  • pension member records and their set up
  • the relationships between members, Trustees, schemes, actuaries, funds and investments
