Senior Technical Robotic Engineer / Robot Programmer
Ideally based in our Pune office
We have recently won some major projects within the UK and overseas and as a result, we are seeking a Senior Technical Robotic Engineer to support the delivery of work packages for our prestigious automotive customers.
You will be responsible for the development and deployment of robotic and industrial control systems for Virtual Commissioning activities.
At Leidos, responsibilities of a Senior Technical Robotic Engineer are:
Design, implement and execute Robotic and automated applications using Process Simulate.
Robot programming with ABB, FANUC or KUKA preferred with the ability to write robotic code in languages such as RAPID, Karel, KRL.
Provide technical leadership and implementation guidance to the team.
Share ideas and improve recommendations, supporting the implementing continuous improvement activities and processes.
Working knowledge of the eMServer environment.
Planning, setting up goals and objectives. Communicate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and be aware of expectations and deliverables.
Able to manage deadlines.
Liaise with Project management, Engineering and Installation Teams. Also communicating with End User / Customer on a technical level.
About You
Proficient using and configuring Process Simulate.
Knowledge of Robot Studio or RoboGuide.
Good understanding and knowledge of Robotic systems and industrial control systems in an automotive environment.
Good understanding and knowledge of industrial robotic safety functionality such as ABB SafeMove, Fanuc DCS, or KUKA SafeOperation
Ability to read Eplan schematics (Electrical, Mechanical and Pneumatic understanding).
Ideally you will have experience within the automotive sector, preferably with some knowledge of Bodyshops, Roller bed / Conveyor systems, Robot Cells, Pneumatics, Control systems.
