Salary Information: The salary range for Dallas, TX (DAL - Dallas Love Field) is $42,995 to $60,002 or $20.60 to $28.75 per hour and includes locality pay of 26.91%.

This Transportation Security Officer position is located in Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As a Transportation Security Officer (TSOs) within Security Operations (SO), you will provide security and protection of air travelers, airports and aircraft in a courteous and professional manner. Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Operating various screening equipment and technology to identify dangerous objects in baggage, cargo and on passengers, and preventing those objects from being transported onto aircraft.
• Performing searches and screening, which may include physical interaction with passengers (e.g., pat-downs, search of property, etc.), conducting bag searches and lifting/carrying bags, bins, and property weighing up to 50lbs.
• Controlling terminal entry and exit points.
• Interacting with the public, giving directions and responding to inquiries.
• Maintaining focus and awareness while working in a stressful environment which includes noise from alarms, machinery and people, crowd distractions, time pressure, and disruptive and angry passengers, in order to preserve the professional ability to identify and locate potentially life threatening or mass destruction devices, and to make effective decisions in both crisis and routine situations.
• Engaging in continuous development of critical thinking skills, necessary to mitigate actual and potential security threats, by identifying, evaluating, and applying appropriate situational options and approaches. This may include application of risk-based security screening protocols that vary based on program requirements.
• Retaining and implementing knowledge of all applicable Standard Operating Procedures, demonstrating responsible and dependable behavior, and is open to change and adapts to new information or unexpected obstacles.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Receive and track customer bookings/orders. Send shipping instructions overseas according to customer instructions or established SOP’s.

• Notify customer of arrival and charges. This must apply to any delay notices and Customs/Exam holds. Applicable charges for any holds must also be advised to the necessary party concerned immediately after we receive our notification.
• Follow the guidelines specified by the company’s business process team.
• Process Customs Entries, i.e. classify invoice, file RLF entries, and enter electronic invoices.
• Own the process for FDA related entries.
• Review and prepare documentation with accuracy on every detail and aspect, not limited to but including Customs classification, I.T. number, commercial invoices, details, etc.
• Transmit information to ABI, verify results and make corrections if necessary, monitoring the release of customs and also any OGA as may apply (USDA, FCC, DOT… etc.).
• Check Customs release details and ensure any discrepancies are handled properly.
• Transmit payment of Customs duties as needed.
• Manage exceptions with involved parties and customer.
• Ensure that file contains all necessary document copies in proper sequence.
• Coordination of entry and break bulk shipments.
• Work with Sales on account implementation, ensuring a smooth transition from Sales to Operations.
• Answer all customer requests in accordance with our company standards and guidelines.
• Monitor closely any shipments moving on an I.T. and provide release, payment and delivery instructions within the allotted free time.
• Collect any COD monies owed before arranging delivery to the customer.
• Handle and manage all customer contact at file level regarding exceptions.
• Ensure highest level of data quality by processing the shipment accurately.
• Provide accurate job costing forecast – Ensure all payables, receivables and accruals are set and properly managed per company rules and guidelines.
• Work with vendors and overseas offices to dispute any incorrect payables at the earliest opportunity to maintain accurate accounting.
• Bill/Invoice each file to the respective customers paying close attention to payment terms for the responsible party.
• Assure that Original Bill of Lading requirements are met in a timely manner.
• Dispatch freight for delivery, maintaining communication with trucker throughout delivery.
• Confirm POD for each shipment and updating our system with POD information.
• Update Track and Trace proprietary applications.
• Assist Sales, Department Manager and Colleagues in compiling quotes by providing rates, tariffs, etc.
• Assure that file contains all necessary documents as set by company standards and filed promptly in appropriate location.
• Other duties as requested.

• FDA experience preferred
• Knowledge of Importer Security Filing (ISF) preferred
• Good working knowledge of OGA transactions preferred

Instructor Pilot US 
Responsible for the delivery of flight training in a flight simulator and ground school in accordance with the appropriate regulatory agency, CAE approved curriculum, and customer requirements.   Act as subject matter expert (SME) ready to lead client(s) through their training.  After 1.5+ years, per business needs, designated Instructors are expected to qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman.

• Provides simulator/flight or classroom instruction on one or more aircraft types as assigned for the issue of licenses, type ratings, internal training, certificates, and pilot qualifications.
• Responsible for conducting pre and post flight simulator briefings in a thorough, professional manner in accordance with CAE standards
• Other required administrative duties (completes training records, recommends remedial training when necessary, track his/her own instructional qualifications and activity, etc.)
• Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) in creation of curricula and courseware when required

Physical Requirements of this role include:

• The physical dexterity required in performing tasks that require hand / eye coordination and fine motor skills.  
• Ability to sit in a confined space for 4-6 hours at a time with limited breaks
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time (as many as 10 hours) with limited breaks
• Ability to sit, stoop, climb and twist and turn

Under general supervision of the Vice President of Maintenance and Properties, the Director of Maintenance Operations directs the operational and administrative functions of all field fleet maintenance activities including staffing, shop management and safety, expense management, reporting, warranty recovery, parts inventory management, equipment disposition and facility management.

Responsibilities

- Oversees the day-to-day workflow for the maintenance of the equipment fleet ensuring a timely response to operations throughout the network.

- Communicates with regional maintenance managers to determine needs and processes for the purchase and maintenance of equipment, parts and supplies, training, and system needs.

- Assists in preparation and management of the annual maintenance expense budget for equipment including staffing, parts, supplies and vendor expenses.

- Performs maintenance expense trend analyses and analytics for all maintenance expense items to determine departmental strategies and opportunities.

- Approves staffing additions within the group and ensures those resources are appropriately allocated during the budget year.

- Oversees inventory controls and parts procurement for fleet maintenance shops.

- Ensures the field staff is adhering to preferred tire inventory and management practices.

- Assists in the management of facility maintenance activity and expense management.

- Develops and enforces procedures, policies and safety protocols.

- Oversees purchasing and disposition activities for equipment and parts.

- Works with the safety department to develop equipment and maintenance strategies to improve employee safety, ensuring compliance with all federal and/or state requirements.

- Performs other related duties as required.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor’s in Business, Transportation, or equivalent

- 5+ years of fleet maintenance mgmt exp. at the regional or higher level

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Experienced with TMW maintenance software

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

- Ability to travel approximately 60% of the time

Purpose of Job:

The Senior Manager, Supply Chain Operations will oversee and lead operations for Interstate Batteries’ Fulfillment Center network.  This will include involvement in the implementation of middle distribution capabilities, ownership of the ongoing operational performance of a 3PL distribution network.  As a key leader of our supply chain strategy, this job will be responsible for driving performance excellence, implementing process improvements, optimizing supplier relationships, and contributing to overall strategic planning. 

Job Components:

• Oversee and ensure the seamless performance of our 3PL distribution network, setting and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) to meet operational goals

• Manage the overall operational, budgetary, and financial responsibilities and activities of the department

• Plan and allocate resources to effectively staff and accomplish the work to meet departmental productivity and quality goals

• Monitor, develop, and improve performance management metrics for IB warehousing related to safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and growth, which are both strategically impactful and executable at the front line of the network

• Spearhead initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within supply chain operations, identifying and implementing innovative solutions for continuous improvement

• Engage in the evaluation of potential new business models, processes, and other key strategic initiatives. Own operationalizing strategic projects in the Fulfillment Center network

• Build and maintain strong relationships with Partners, negotiating contracts, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with quality and service standards

• Effectively develop, build, and maintain positive relationships with internal cross-functional teams and external partners

• Play a pivotal role in the development and execution of strategic plans for the supply chain, aligning with overall business objectives and contributing to the organization's growth and cost management

• Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited college/university; Master’s degree preferred

• 10+ years of Supply Chain experience with progressive responsibility, including demonstrated success with project implementations, with a minimum of 8 years leading individuals and teams

• Lean/Six Sigma training and qualification preferred

• Experience working in and overseeing outsourced/3PL warehouse and transportation environments

• Effective at leading and influencing others to execute time-sensitive objectives and foster a collaborative team culture

• Self-starter and thought leader with a high level of energy and strong work ethic

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to make data-driven decisions

• In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes, logistics, and inventory management, with a preference for experience working in SAP

• Must be able to travel as required to oversee network performance

Freese and Nichols is searching for an experienced Transportation CAD Technician in our Dallas, Frisco or Fort Worth, Texas offices.  This dynamic position will provide design assistance to transportation engineers to produce 3D CAD models of engineering designs and will generate plan sets for construction projects. The job requirements/responsibilities include:

• Understanding of project requirements, scope of work, and deliverables
• Develop a trusted relationship with engineers based on sound and successful demonstrated input and outcomes
• Prepare detail and layout drawings and sketches of unusual, complex, or original designs requiring the application of theoretical and practical engineering knowledge

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent,  Associate Degree in CAD preferred
• 3+ years of experience with a broad base in engineering design and technical support of engineering
• Microstation experience with preference for in-depth knowledge of Open Roads Designer, Geopak, and/or InRoads
• Proven ability to learn, adapt, and problem solve to produce accurate and quality deliverables

Role and Responsibilities

In this role, the Simulator Flight Instructor I will be responsible for the delivery of training primarily in a flight simulator or other training device, but also when required in ground school, in accordance with the appropriate regulatory and customer requirements.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Delivery of instructor led training / Part 142 training to CAE customers
• Delivery of ATP/CTP courses – ground school and sim sessions on the A320 platform..
• Conduct pre and post flight simulator briefings in a thorough, professional manner and in accordance with CAE standards.
• Conduct each simulator session in accordance with the CAE, aircraft manufacturer or the customers’ Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). 
• Provide simulator flight instruction for the issue of licenses, type ratings and certificates.
• Complete the appropriate client training records accurately and comprehensively to ensure client understanding and a seamless handover to other instructors.
• Recommend, where necessary, remedial training for a client who is not meeting the required training progress.
• Record simulator usage and discrepancies using the appropriate procedures.
• Track the validity of instructional qualifications to ensure that he/she remains qualified to deliver training at all times in accordance with contractual commitments. 
• Act as subject matter expert in creation of curricula and courseware when required.
• Accept training for examiner responsibilities when required by the Head of Training.
• Act as invigilator when examination is conducted

Qualifications 

• Should be typed on the A320 platform. Need not be current.
• At least 2 years as part of a FAA Part 121 program.
• Ready to work night shifts as required by simulator availability.
• Bachelor degree in job-related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
• Passes in all Airline Transport Pilots License written exams.
• Minimum experience required by the Regulatory Authority issuing instructor rating.
• Hold an existing instructor qualification or -rating issued by a Regulatory Authority desirable.
• Meet the relevant minimum qualification and experience requirements for qualification as a Simulator Instructor.
• Hold or has held a professional pilots’ license.
• A working knowledge of the relevant aviation regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain strong customer orientation under adverse circumstances.
• Strong focus on quality with a continuous drive towards process improvement & customer satisfaction.
• Ability to concentrate and work in a fast paced environment. 
• Readily accept changes and adjust accordingly.
• Fluency in English
