Valvoline has a rewarding opportunity as a highly motivated and experienced Senior Director Supply Chain, APAC reporting directly to Chief Growth and Operations Officer. This is a hybrid opportunity, 2 days remote per week.
Responsible for the strategic leadership development and operational planning for multiple facilities within the region and an integrated global supply chain. Responsible for the development and execution of core operational excellence, tools, processes and capabilities. Leads the development and implementation of business-focused Operations initiatives, in line with the Supply Chain Center of Expertise that drive continuous improvement throughout the business as well as identify supply chain solutions to create a sustainable competitive advantage in cost, cash, safety, quality and service. Leads a team of professionals in APAC.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
1. Establishes, implements, and communicates the strategic direction of the organization’s operations division to include but not limited to: Implementation of operation portion of Supply Chain S4 Project initiative, such as WMS (Warehouse Management System) implementation; and site identification and expansion; DS/DM corresponding implementation and integration. Evaluation for expansion/contraction for manufacturing, distribution, and direct market. Volume deployment to appropriate locations for cost and logistic efficiencies.
2. Collaborates with executive leadership to drive supply chain to achieve optimal performance at the lowest cost of ownership. Leads a team of direct/indirect reports to execute operational responsibilities (Customer Service Support, Planning Analyst, 2 Operational Managers, Quality Control, Supply Chain Manager). Also, will work within a matrixed organization.
3. Collaborates with other divisions and departments to carry out the organization’s goals and objectives, to include Chief SC Officer, Supply Chain Senior Director’s (peers), sales and marketing leaders, 3rdparty distribution and manufacturing partners, and functional groups such as Finance, HR, EH&S, IT, etc.
4. Responsible for deploying lean manufacturing within the plant. Facilitates the development of continuous improvement master plan to deliver long and short-term business objectives through system deployment and capability building focused on alignment, the elimination of waste, and 100% employee engagement.
5. Ensures that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, development, organization, material efficiency, hardware acquisitions, and facilities are in line with the organizations business plan and vision.
6. Establishes, communicates, and implements operations-related policies, practices, and standards to ensure effective and consistent support and execution.
7. Manages annual budget and capital spend across manufacturing & distribution footprint. Responsible for achieving planned budget (financial) plant performance.
8. Responsible for the development and execution of core operational excellence, tools, processes and capabilities
9. Presents periodic performance reports and metrics to the chief supply chain officer and other leadership.
10. Very tactical work for this level as a Director
Professional development involvement for direct reports and succession planning efforts for key roles within the operations group

Preferences and Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 10 years in Operations Management in progressively more responsible roles
- Supply chain network design-SOP-planning-how should we sourcing products/delivering products
- Experience using SAP, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
