You Will:

• Lead Insource-Outsource Programs and guide RFX’s, Contract Negotiations and help improve APAC Procurement initiative.

• Oversee the selection/negotiation/management/purchasing for large category groups and multiple smaller suppliers or sub-categories as a necessary contributor/leader. 

• Work with Procurement and leaders to implement category strategies. 

• Support Block leadership strategic planning efforts, focusing on sourcing (through the best sourcing methodologies), contract negotiation, buying, and risk mitigation strategy. 

• Oversee complex, Block-wide supplier relations, developing solutions to new problems and using your foresight to anticipate future trends and issues. 

• Lead a network of other authorities, building agreement. You are responsible for and will project manage Important Category Supplier Relationship QBRs to ensure Block is receiving agreed to services based on main Service level agreements and Performance Indicators.

• Model collaboration skills and have a noticeable positive impact on the velocity and success of your teammates. 

• Develop selection/negotiation criteria, establish purchasing goals, coordinate resources, and provide category leadership following long-term buying goals.

Responsible for the management of Supply Chain Processes for the business unit. Functional Responsibilities

Supply Chain Demand to Supply Process

·        Member of the Planning Leadership team and Operations extended Leadership Team. Participate on strategy and business review sessions.

·        Together with other members of the Leadership Team take business decisions and develop and deploy business strategies.

·        Together with the Manufacturing Operations Leaders develop and update Operations strategies that are aligned to the business strategies.

·        Together with the IBP, Demand Planning and Supply Planning Managers, develop the Supply Chain Strategy for the Business. This strategy should be aligned with the Business and Operations strategies.

·        Together with the IBP, Demand Planning, and Supply Planning Managers, enhance the capabilities of supply chain associates to meet the new or improved processes.

·        Directly manage the Managers of IBP, Demand Planning, and Supply Planning. Coaching them on strategy development, process excellence and execution.

IBP Process

·        Ensures that Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning process and meetings are implemented and institutionalized in all regions of the world.  Drives continuous improvement towards Best Practice processes and systems.

·        When required Chairs Global IBP Management Business Review meetings or any other meeting as needed.  Works directly with key functional stakeholders across all applicable domestic and international regions.

·        Acts as lead to aid in infrastructure, education, training and implementation of both the regional and the Global IBP process.  This includes working with Business Leaders on improving Business strategy and business management, validating the forecast accuracy, managing inventory strategy and parameters globally and aligning the Financial/Business plans with the appropriate operations plans.

·        When required facilitates the Global meetings and attends the Regional Demand Review, Supply Review and Management Business Review IBP meetings to get the appropriate buy-in and information.  When required facilitates the determination of the MBR agenda, aids in the roll-up of information, acts as liaison between the regional meetings and representatives to enable the global process.

·        Establishes work processes for continuous improvement of IBP process using Best Practice benchmarking methodology and periodic process assessments.

Demand Planning

·        Together with the Managers of Demand Planning and within the IBP umbrella, ensures an effective demand planning process is in place across all sites.

·        Provides summary outputs of the demand process at the IR and MBR IBP meetings.

·        Works closely with regional representatives to develop accurate and timely demand plans.

Supply Planning

·        Together with the Managers of Supply Planning, and within the IBP umbrella ensure an effective monthly Supply process is in place across all sites, identifying and resolving significant supply-demand imbalances over a rolling two year period.   Drives functional process excellence across the business unit

·        Provides summary outputs of the Supply Process at the Integrated Reconciliation and Management Business Reviews Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning meetings.

·        Establishes strategies, key performance metrics, target objectives/guidelines and improvement initiatives to meet supply management objectives, including differentiated offerings by product/customer classification or geography as appropriate.

·        Develops a Global Inventory Strategy Process, including the development of inventory targets by product line.  Ensures the establishment of target inventory levels and mix to achieve management objectives for service levels, backorder incidence/duration and inventory- DIO goals. Identifies and leads efforts to improve inventory velocity and minimize preventable losses due to excess supply and obsolescence.

·        Designs and executes service strategies to drive customer satisfaction in line fill, reduced shipments per order, and on-time arrival of orders.

·        Ensures single point-of-contact in major short-supply issues and prioritizes allocation methodology and shipments according to business need.

·        Effectively directs the supply planning elements for new product introductions, conversions and rationalization efforts.

·         Ultimately responsible to balance service and inventory in the business unit

Logistics

·        Collaborates with the matrixed Global Logistics and Distribution teams on global logistics strategies and key performance metrics aligned with the business strategies for Shipping, storage, receiving and transportation improvement programs, Inventory levels, distribution strategy, Warehouse utilization, etc.  

·        Collaborates a global distribution and transportation strategy, in alignment with manufacturing strategy.  Optimizes network for transportation efficiencies, inventory carrying costs, E/O costs, and customer service levels.

·        Identifies areas of opportunity within the worldwide supply chain.

Reporting and Communication

·        Develops and maintains metrics to track performance and business contribution.

·        Provide periodic assessment and communication of  maturity progress on WW IBP Process.

Team Responsibilities

Summary:

ASPCA’s Shelter Services department is seeking an Animal Relocation Driver to support our Animal Relocation Initiative – a program aimed at increasing adoptions and decreasing euthanasia nationwide through animal relocation and transport. Our Relocation team is responsible for successfully transporting approximately 50,000 dogs and cats each year – life-changing work that is made possible by our dedicated team of drivers (that’s you!).

The Animal Relocation Driver will be responsible for safe, efficient, and humane short and long-distance animal relocation between welfare organizations, basic vehicle maintenance, and will have opportunities to manage projects and resources that expand the capacity of relocation efforts. Trips are often multiple night and occur on a weekly basis. Drivers travel across the country, so they may encounter all types of weather conditions on the job. The person in this role will, in addition to being responsible for animals on transport, provide support and excellent customer service for partner shelters.

The role is perfect for someone comfortable representing the ASPCA in public, who thrives in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment, and who loves travel and interacting with people passionate about animal welfare. You will have opportunities to build relationships with animal welfare advocates across the country and see first-hand how welfare groups have teamed up to create opportunities for animals. It’s hard work that takes a special person, but there is no better feeling than knowing you personally and directly impacted outcomes for an animal by ensuring geography is not a barrier to animals finding long-term homes.

This is a remote location position, but candidates must be based within a one-hour driving radius of one of the following locations:

• Chattanooga, Tennessee
• Memphis, Tennessee
• Little Rock, Arkansas

For all locations, significant travel (approximately 80%) by ground and air is required.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Animal Transport Management (80%)

• Ensure safe animal transport for long and short trips to destination locations throughout the South, Midwest, and East Coast

• Assist in ensuring all animals have received required preparation for transport such as vaccinations, dewormers, microchips, etc. and have any required health certificates

• Ensure animals are behaviorally sound for adoption and adequate space is available on the plane or vehicle 

• Load and unload vehicles, including repeatedly up to 50 pounds

• May be required to administer medication to animals on transport

• Thoroughly clean cages and vehicle following each transport in accordance with cleaning protocols

• Execute all aspects of assigned relocation projects in and throughout the South, Midwest, and East Coast areas and other areas as assigned.

• Execute transports including: partner relationships, animal readiness, documentation, vehicle oversight, animal handling, schedule, routes, emergency preparedness, etc.

• Oversee and track supplies and proper maintenance of program assets including vehicles and storage facilities

• Partner with and support the National Field Response team in responding and deploying to disasters in relocation role

• Adhere to and enforce safety protocols including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and protocols adopted in response to COVID

• Provide a safe and compassionate environment for animals in our care, our staff, and for our clients by using low-stress handling techniques

• Instill the guiding principle that everyone can—and should—actively support the animals’ behavioral and mental health in everything they do.

• Ensure that all team members have received training and mastered the skills to handle in a low stress manner, and that they implement these handling techniques consistently in all their interactions with animals.

Animal Relocation Administration & Planning (10%)

• Contribute to SOPs and detailed written summaries of projects to allow for duplication in other areas of the country, as relevant 

• Maintain regular communication with the project agencies, Relocation Team, and other ASPCA departments with vested interest in the project/s

• Research best practices, industry standards, sustainability concepts, and other information relevant to the work. Make recommendations, provide summaries and/or detailed reports of findings as required

• Serve as main contact person for assigned projects

• Participate in strategic planning process and cross-departmental projects as assigned

• Support all other department activities which will contribute to the advancement and success of the team and the ASPCA as identified by supervisor

• Research and prepare materials for reports and metrics. Prepare and deliver presentations as needed

• Develop and implement programmatic advancements (such as the use of virtual systems and streamlining processes) in conjunction with leadership

• Report and update inventory information for vehicles and program storage units

Outreach & Engagement ASPCA Animal Relocation (10%)

• Promote ASPCA tools to expand national relocation efforts

• Assist with the identification and management of projects where ASPCA Relocation can expand capacity of relocation efforts (e.g. summits, State or regional team member, facility or equipment opportunities, etc.)

• Develop an understanding of expectations for project/s and ensure positive relationships are established with stakeholders

• Act as a liaison between source and destination partners to encourage communication and transparency

• Solicit and provide stories and pictures of transported animals. As requested, write stories for Workplace, ASPCA blogs, newsletters, etc. and submit to management for distribution to the appropriate ASPCA departments.

• Participate in media, marketing and communication materials as requested

• Must be able to drive 650 miles during the course of a day

• When working as a part of a team, must be comfortable being on the road for up to sixteen hours at a time

• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds

• Must have dependable personal transportation to travel to and from the transport vehicle

Summary
The Program Manager is the primary point of contact on multiple projects, performs a variety of highly skilled duties such as: assembling, coordinating, and managing multidisciplinary technical review teams made up of professional staff from various departments and functions. Interfaces with the customer and Ryder's technical staff to ensure effective definition of and delivery of projects. Provides regular and proactive communications to customers and Ryder Management. This position specifically works with and support our Start-up Effectiveness Team in our Dedicated Transportation vertical.

Essential Functions

• Supports business start-ups for medium to large sized programs

• Manages assigned projects using program management methodologies and techniques in accordance with established standards

• Interacts with customers and internal functional support teams to ensure results are achieved

• Develops implementation strategy to meet customer expectations

• Develops and manages plans to include scope, time, cost, quality, resources, communications and risks

• Coordinates the identification of certification to begin live operations criteria

• Monitors post implementation customer expectations and standards

• Interacts with multiple levels including Sr. Management within Ryder and client organizations

• Bachelor's degree required Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or minimum of 8 years relevant work experience

Roles and Responsibilities
Project Delivery

• Responsible for project deliverables including plans, specifications, and estimates.

• Strives to meet deliverable schedules.

• Ensures that quality management procedures are in effect for respective Team’s project(s)

• Ensures that Parsons’ safety procedures are in effect for Team’s project.

• Provides oversight of junior staff and Team.

• Assigns short-term and long-term responsibilities to project staff.

• Leads project coordination and progress calls.

• Assists PM in PM duties.

• Strives to obtain maximum INDOT performance scores for scope, schedule, budget, and quality

Business Development

• Supports development of pursuit pipeline and mining opportunities for the Section.

• Supports Win Strategy and supports Proposals for a pursuit.

• May serve as Capture Manager for a key pursuit.

• May serve as main point of contact for project.

• Supports business development opportunities and marketing events.

• Serves on a committee or board for professional organizations that meet our objectives.

• May attends key conferences for networking and brand exposure.

• Submits abstracts to key conferences and encourages presentations from staff.

• Identifies the needs to develop a staffing plan for projects and pursuits for Teams projects.

• Identifies the need for new hires for the Team.

• Assists or lead on-boarding on new staff.

• Identifies strategic potential candidates to hire and lead recruiting efforts for these key Team hires.

• Identifies and coordinates training needs and requests for their staff.

• Develops career development plans with all direct reports.

• Develops workforce forecasting to identify peaks and valleys of staffing needs for their Team.

• Responsible for performance including recognition and disciplinary efforts for Team Staff

Direct Reports

• May have direct and/or indirect reports

• Team Leader reports to Section Manager and/or Department Manager

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• 4-year degree in Engineering (or related field) and 10+ years of related work experience.  

• Professional Engineer registration may be required.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

• Potential to perform in a lead capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a familiarity of industry practices and regulations are required.  

• Must also possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on project.
