Responsibilities

• This role will lead the SME team responsible for development and data analytics support of our operational network systems.
• This role will oversee and prioritize activities around development and operationalization of various tools supporting our operations organization.  These tools will include operational dashboards and data visualizations supporting actionable intelligence related to execution, prioritization and staffing of warehouse associates.
• The leader will leverage previous experience while adhering to our internal best practices to advance existing standards around data visualization and analytics.
• This role will lead the development and allocation of resources to ensure successful network scale of management systems like LMS (Labor Management System), WES (Warehouse Execution System), WCS (Warehouse Control Systems) and operational simulation software.
• This role will coach and develop teams’ capability in solution development and engineering, seeking to enhance capability in simulation, modeling, and solution planning supporting network deployment of new systems and technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in related field preferred.
• Advanced Degree is desired
• 8+ years of experience preferred
• Experience in the deployment or support of systems like LMS, WMS, WES and BI visualization tools preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 50%

KBR is in search of an Enterprise Supply Chain Manager who will spearhead the development and implementation of project and process plans, instigate robust policies and procedures, and set strategic operational objectives to support multiple sites within our dynamic program framework. This pivotal role demands a self-starter with a fervent drive to achieve technical, schedule, and cost benchmarks while navigating and mitigating potential risks. Collaborating seamlessly with both Program Management and the Supply Chain Organization, you will play a critical role in managing supplier performance and paving the way for the establishment of new supplier relationships to bolster our long-term procurement visions.

 

This role is located in the Washington, DC Metro Area (WMA) and will require a presence on-site supporting various facilities. Travel is estimated to be approximately 10%.

 

What You’ll Do

As a Supply Chain Manager, your duties will encompass:

• Leading a team responsible for the scrutiny of supply chain material requisites, the refinement of inventory plans, and the synchronization of supply chain demands.

• Crafting and executing comprehensive project and process blueprints, formulating and enforcing policies, and defining operational milestones.

• Securing resources for project execution and processes, managing technical supplier engagements, and pioneering process enhancements.

• Cultivating and nurturing strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and team members.

• Endorsing and supervising technical strategies, products, and procedures while propelling the development and motivation of the team.

• Intensively collaborating with Supplier Management to tackle complex technical and business challenges, ensuring product delivery meets quality and in-service expectations.

• Providing strategic direction to achieve financial goals, delivery targets, and product compliance.

• Assisting Supplier Management in the enhancement of procurement and contractual strategies for principal suppliers and programs.

• Detecting crucial programmatic integration points across major activities, teams, suppliers, partners, and customers.

• Managing supplier work scope, contractual commitments, and performance to align with procurement strategies and contractual adherence, while establishing the operational plan.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years experience managing projects of similar scope, size and complexity.

• Knowledge of process improvement models (e.g. LEAN/Six Sigma, ISO 9000)

• Leading a team responsible for the scrutiny of supply chain material requisites, the refinement of inventory plans, and the synchronization of supply chain demands.

Purpose of Job:

The Senior Manager, Supply Chain Operations will oversee and lead operations for Interstate Batteries’ Fulfillment Center network.  This will include involvement in the implementation of middle distribution capabilities, ownership of the ongoing operational performance of a 3PL distribution network.  As a key leader of our supply chain strategy, this job will be responsible for driving performance excellence, implementing process improvements, optimizing supplier relationships, and contributing to overall strategic planning. 

Job Components:

• Oversee and ensure the seamless performance of our 3PL distribution network, setting and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) to meet operational goals

• Manage the overall operational, budgetary, and financial responsibilities and activities of the department

• Plan and allocate resources to effectively staff and accomplish the work to meet departmental productivity and quality goals

• Monitor, develop, and improve performance management metrics for IB warehousing related to safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and growth, which are both strategically impactful and executable at the front line of the network

• Spearhead initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within supply chain operations, identifying and implementing innovative solutions for continuous improvement

• Engage in the evaluation of potential new business models, processes, and other key strategic initiatives. Own operationalizing strategic projects in the Fulfillment Center network

• Build and maintain strong relationships with Partners, negotiating contracts, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with quality and service standards

• Effectively develop, build, and maintain positive relationships with internal cross-functional teams and external partners

• Play a pivotal role in the development and execution of strategic plans for the supply chain, aligning with overall business objectives and contributing to the organization's growth and cost management

• Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited college/university; Master’s degree preferred

• 10+ years of Supply Chain experience with progressive responsibility, including demonstrated success with project implementations, with a minimum of 8 years leading individuals and teams

• Lean/Six Sigma training and qualification preferred

• Experience working in and overseeing outsourced/3PL warehouse and transportation environments

• Effective at leading and influencing others to execute time-sensitive objectives and foster a collaborative team culture

• Self-starter and thought leader with a high level of energy and strong work ethic

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to make data-driven decisions

• In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes, logistics, and inventory management, with a preference for experience working in SAP

• Must be able to travel as required to oversee network performance

Work Environment:
