Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), University of the Arts Singapore, an esteemed arts institution with a global reputation seeks an administratively strong Research Executive at the Institute of Southeast Asian Arts (ISEAA).
Since its establishment in April 2010, the Institute of Southeast Asian Arts (ISEAA) has facilitated in-curricula assimilation of Southeast Asian arts with contemporary arts training at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA). The study and research of Southeast Asian arts has positively influenced the multidisciplinary nature of art studies here at NAFA, accumulating a growing resource of ideas and innovations that include outcomes from 3D Design, Design & Media, Fine Art, Arts Management, Fashion, Theatre, Dance, and Music.
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the incumbent would involve researching and developing digital frameworks within which archives and live material research can be activated, including metaverse and online interface. You are also expected to innovate and initiate new research paradigms for such platforms to facilitate learning outcomes from academic programmes involving ISEAA content and projects.
In addition, you are required to support and assist in the discharge of administrative functions pertaining to the execution of E&A programming (such as the annual SEA Arts Forum, Exhibitions, Artist in Residence and Performing arts Principals) and management of the archival microsite as part of ISEAA purview.
The role includes assisting communications with relevant academic and administration departments on the delivery of academic outcomes involving ISEAA content and projects, as well as performing other ad-hoc duties as required in support of or relation to the activities of partner teams contributing to the outcomes of ISEAA.
Requirements & Qualifications
- You should possess a Minimum Degree in Arts and demonstrate knowledge of Arts & Humanities, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience.
- To succeed in this role, you should also be proficient in MS Office Suite and IT savvy in gaming suite, digital applications and relevant technologies for online learning and delivery.
- The ideal candidate should possess a strong command of both English and at least one Asian language, as the incumbent will be responsible for reviewing and writing materials for publications, catalogues, and other written content. A deep interest in the arts and culture will be an added advantage to effectively contribute to the role.
- You should be resourceful and proactive in addressing issues, possess good organisational and coordination skills, and be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
