Job Title: Teacher of Computer Science & Information Technology - Level 2 to Level 5
Location: Derbyshire
Salary: £24-28 pound per hour
Ongoing contract: Full time - 25.5 hours a week
Starting: Tuesday 9th January 2024
Position Overview: We are looking for a dedicated Computing Lecturer to inspire and educate the next generation of computing professionals. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of computing education in Derbyshire. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and high-quality teaching to students pursuing qualifications in Computing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering engaging and informative lectures and workshops in accordance with the curriculum.
- Developing and delivering innovative and interactive teaching materials and resources.
- Providing guidance and support to students, helping them achieve their academic and career goals.
- Assessing and evaluating student progress through formative and summative assessments.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and incorporating real-world applications into the curriculum.
Qualifications:
- A relevant bachelor's degree or higher in Computing or a related field.
- A teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or QTS (desirable but not mandatory).
- Previous experience teaching or working with students at the further education level.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the computing industry and technologies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
