Your new company
Our client is a local Government agency based in Brisbane CBD looking for a Business Analyst for an initial engagement 6 month contract.
Your new role
The Senior Business Analyst will lead and model a customer first, service focused culture, embracing the principles of business intimacy and operational ICT excellence.
Utilise expert business analysis capability to capture, explore, identify, analyse, articulate and document business problems, issues and needs.
Lead and perform specific business analysis activities on behalf of all identified stakeholders.
Engage with stakeholders through interviews, workshops, presentations, and individual meetings to enable comprehensive capture and analysis of business problems and requirements.
Strategically analyse business requirements, existing processes and existing systems to identify, develop, clarify and document the business problem statement, key solution objectives and measures of success.
Contribute and influencing the development of business cases, benefit versus cost scenarios and preliminary high level option envelopes that clearly demonstrate the value propositions of possible solutions.
Expand and document business requirements and functional requirements to inform and facilitate solution architecture and solution detailed design.
Translate agreed business requirements, functional requirements and solution outcomes into verifiable test scenarios.
What you'll need to succeed
Highly developed interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to negotiate, consult, coordinate and deliver substantial business analysis and solution conceptualisation in a large, diverse and complex organisation.
Superior written communication skills with demonstrated ability to author comprehensive, clear, concise, and contractually robust documents for both business and technical audiences.
Expert analytical and diagnostic skills, together with the ability to apply that knowledge and experience to the areas of process analysis, cost benefits analysis and business systems analysis, in order to identify opportunities for improved services and creative solutions.
