The Role:
As the Marketing & Audience Development Manager, you will play a critical role in driving strategic marketing initiatives, ensuring high visibility for our Culture & Leisure services, and engaging new and existing audiences. You will lead on the creation of multi-channel marketing campaigns, develop innovative strategies for audience growth, and champion the council’s cultural and leisure offerings both locally and beyond.
The role will predominantly focused on Cultural services but will also deliver for leisure services one day a week

We are now looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Marketing & Audience Development Manager to lead on growing and engaging audiences for these dynamic services.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an integrated marketing and audience development strategy for Culture & Leisure services, aligned with council objectives.
- Lead on brand positioning, communications, and promotion of cultural venues, events, and programs, increasing awareness and participation.
- Manage digital marketing, social media, and traditional campaigns to target diverse audience segments.
- Build and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders, including community groups, schools, cultural institutions, and media outlets.
- Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making and measure the effectiveness of campaigns, optimizing strategies to maximize audience engagement.
- Work closely with the programming, events, and operations teams to ensure seamless marketing support for cultural activities.
- Develop pricing strategies, promotional offers, and membership schemes to increase participation and accessibility.
- Manage a marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
About You:
We are seeking an innovative and results-driven marketing professional with a passion for culture and community engagement. You will have a strong track record in marketing and audience development, ideally within the arts, culture, or leisure sectors, and possess excellent communication and project management skills.
