Coordinate care and share programs for wheelchair users chair users .
Carrying out service, maintenance & repair of mobility aids (manual wheelchairs, commodes, walking aids), and PMAs (electric scooters, power chairs).
Manage inventory database of equipment, spare parts, stock and tools.
Sourcing and procurement of equipment and spare parts.
Learning up on new regulations, processes and prerequisites for PMA users.
Replying to phone and email inquiries on repairs, service, purchase and donations of PMA.
Assisting the Center Manager in organising ad-hoc programs, including but not limited to conducting workshops, volunteer recruitment management and corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects.
Oversee all environmental, safety and health aspects of the centre and workshop.
Requirements:
-experience dealing with elderly people
-background in electronics and electric
-class 3 driving license to be able to do on-site servicing for stay-alone seniors or PWDs
-able to carry heavy loads
-good diagnostic/fault finding skills
-practical, hands-on, can-do attitude, and willingness to learn and follow organisation procedures
-excellent communication skills, patience to deal with disabled persons and vulnerable seniors
