Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and verify parts across all stages of the manufacturing process for a variety of precision machined components in a variety of materials
• Conduct First Article Inspection Reporting (FAIR)
• Ensure all parts produced are in line with drawing and specification requirements
• Manage and report on non-conformances
• Perform Root Cause Analysis and resolution, ensuring correct rework of parts where appropriate, necessary
• Collaborate with the wider team to ensure quality and production targets
• Manage customer returns, liaising and communicating with external customers to ensure positive relationships and resolution of non-conformance
• Assist and report on monthly statistics

Experience Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role within a Precision Engineering Aerospace environment
• Strong experience and understanding of AS9100
• Working knowledge of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR AS9102)
• Conversant in the use of Mechanical Measurement Equipment (verniers, micrometers, calipers gauges etc.) and CMM
• Knowledge of performing first-off, stage and final inspection
• Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Capable of working independently and with minimal supervision
• Effective communication skills and computer literacy, including strong Excel skills
• Previous experience of implementing AS13002, including measurement system analysis and Statistical Process Control would be extremely beneficial and preferred

Scope of the role

Creative Support has an established nationally focused quality department, which undertakes aspects of quality assurance work, compliance and good practice work nationally across our service user groups. These include a regular audit programme, a proactive audit schedule which works ahead of external inspections from regulators, local authorities and the CQC. Medication good practice and person centred support are imperative to achieving high quality services. The quality department is looking to enhance its team with this new Medication lead role.

Summary of the Role

The role of Senior Quality Practitioner – Medication Lead is a newly developed role which will significantly contribute to quality assurance across the organisation. The role will concentrate on medication governance and improvement processes across our national services, particularly those services who are registered with CQC. Creative Support currently has over 650 services, including Learning Disability, Mental Health, Care Homes, etc. The role will be well supported within the highly experienced and established quality team who have been together in its current work for over 10 years.

Key areas of concentration for this post holder are to have a lead role in medication good practice including ensuring policies and toolkits enable excellent medication management and to audit sites to ensure compliance against policy and protocols.

You will be based within the Quality team and will contribute to our audit and social care governance processes. Full induction and comprehensive training provided. The role is newly developed and hence the successful candidate will be involved in the strategy for the role in conjunction with the Head of Quality. This is a progressive role for an experience professional in Health and Social Care with a passion for high standard of health support and medication good practice. Based in Stockport, this SME Manufacturer is looking for a forward-thinking, hands-on Quality Manager who can lead the quality department to further success.

The company is ISO:9001 accredited and will be investing in further accreditations in the not-too-distant future to demonstrate its environmental credentials via ISO:14001.

The company has low staff turnover, strong values and a modern manufacturing working environment with significant investment in new equipment to continue to support its aim of being a flexible, fast turnaround, batch manufacturing provider.

This is an integral role, reporting directly to the Head of Operations and with significant freedom to deliver desired outcomes.

With this in mind, we are looking for someone who has a genuine desire to get a company to WCM standards, can motivate and build a successful team that works to robust quality outputs, has a constant eye on continuous improvement and can work closely with other senior leadership to achieve and maintain ISO:14001 and world-class standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and ensure compliance with the Quality Management System (ISO 9001)
• Lead daily safety and quality activities, ensuring adherence to HSE regulations
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Coordinate environmental activities to help the company attain ISO 14001
• Promote a safety culture and ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Oversee quality assurance processes and conduct supplier audits

Main duties to include:

• Report daily KPIs on quality performance
• Support new product introduction (NPI) processes
• Drive health and safety improvements and manage risk assessments
• Supporting business initiatives to improve quality, safety, people, programs and cost delivery
• Provide training and support to staff, promoting teamwork and development

Skills needed:

• Solid experience in managing Quality in an SME manufacturing environment
• Experience in an ISO 9001 regulated environment
• Hands on capabilities
• Solid people skills
• A NEBOSH qualification would be desirable
• Driver essential as there will be the occasional visit to customer sites

The role: Client Relationship Manager / Sales / Account Manager / Recruitment
Location: Manchester, Hybrid - 3 days in the office & 2 days at home
Contract: Full time, 37.5 hrs per week
Package: competitive base salary with an uncapped commission and incentive-based rewards

Facilitate client meetings and deliver presentations on QA's offerings in line with the customers' requirements/needs

Review all sales management information to strategically prioritise your sales pipeline to meet/exceed your sales targets
Generate revenue and margin to meet individual and team targets
