- You will conduct on-site audits and surveillance (on ship and within production shops and at off-site vendors) of installation, fabrication and testing activities.
- You will communicate regularly with ships force personnel and Contractor quality assurance/production personnel concerning process/product quality.
- You will consult with SUPSHIP project office personnel and Contractor construction supervisors on quality related matters.
- You will be assigned individual and team responsibilities for complex investigations of quality-related problems within assigned functional area(s).
- You will conduct studies, evaluations and analyses of information to determine possible cause and resolutions of quality problems.
- You will prepare detailed reports summarizing factual data, discussing methods used, problems analyzed and state conclusions and recommendations.
- You will attend routine and special meetings for ship key events and other meetings such as critiques, fact-findings or quality problem resolution meetings.
- You will analyze quality data obtained from audits, surveillance, procedure evaluations, quality meetings and communications from outside sources for assigned functional area(s) to determine a quality profile.
- You will recommend to the Team Leader and/or Division Head the type of QA audit or surveillance needed within assigned functional area(s) to support key QA program elements.
- You will conduct evaluations of the Contractor’s quality procedures and installed/fabricated hardware.
