Role Overview

• Lead Regulatory Strategy: Develop and execute the regulatory strategy for all products across key international markets.

What you'll be doing...

In this new and important role, the focus will be on auditing and coaching the business on allergen best practices. This role will help elevate the importance the business places on the proactive management of allergens, drive compliance and awareness across the business, and develop a culture where allergen management and compliance is fundamental at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out regular audits/spot checks of allergen activities (menu development through to service to customer) with our Site Managers. As necessary write an action plan and implement immediate corrective actions. Report back to Operational Directors. Follow up and ensure that action plans are completed and closed out.
• Carry our site-based coaching on allergen best practices where site audit findings are below Company standards.
• Ensure there is a site allergen Self-Assessment Process in place, that self-assessments are carried out, and that we drive 100% completion and greater awareness and ownership.
• Feedback to central teams (Safety & Wellbeing / Food Team) on what works/does not work from an allergen management/policy perspective in our sites, so working practises can be adapted and improved.
• Review monthly training compliance data, and discuss with operational teams to drive completion rates across the business.
• Develop a monthly reporting framework on allergen practices across the business which summarises the month's activity/findings so improvements can be taken on allergen policy and best practices.
• Support the Safety and Wellbeing team in reviewing allergen training materials to ensure up-to-date and to drive 100% compliance across the business.
• Develop and implement an 'Allergen Champion' framework to drive best practices and knowledge on allergen management across the business.
• Develop customer service standards/signage in dealing with allergen queries or questions from customers, so colleagues are better equipped and confident to deal with customer queries.

You will be primarily responsible for supporting the management team in the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service across the Blood Science laboratories, incorporating automated Biochemistry and Haematology including Haemoglobinopathy and the associated specialist laboratories of Endocrinology and Trisomy, Haemostasis, Biochemical Genetics Unit including Newborn Blood Spot screening and supporting accreditation activities in Immunology and Blood Transfusion.

Other duties include the maintenance and development of the quality management system, taking an active role in the transition of services to the single quality management system (QMS). Leading on service improvements within Blood Sciences and supporting the standardisation of quality across the directorate.

We are looking for someone with extensive knowledge and experience of the accreditation and regulatory requirements of a pathology service which includes ISO 15189, screening programmes and the patient safety framework. You will therefore have a working knowledge of laboratories and the application of the various accreditation/regulatory standards within their functions. You must have practical skills in auditing, risk identification/mitigation, root cause and trend analysis, with the ability to produce detailed reports.

As an autonomous practitioner with highly specialist skills you will manage and lead the Blood Science departments in all quality related aspects of the service.

Be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of quality management for a defined service, providing expert advice, guidance and support.

Manage, co-ordinate all necessary preparation for external audit and regulatory inspections such as JACIE, CHKS, OECI, HTA, and CQC for the defined service(s) – liaising with other services as appropriate.

Manage an effective document control process focusing on the timely review of active documents and expedition of draft documents through the approval process to publication.

Promote quality improvement within the defined service(s).

Manage and perform audits for the defined service delivered by the audit schedule.

Manage and maintain an effective corrective actions process.

Manage the training and competency records for the defined service(s).

This role will give you the chance to play a key role on ground-breaking and high-profile defence projects with values in the £hundreds of millions. You'll be part of an industry-leading team, working with Marshall and other major defence stakeholders and Primes.

Purpose of the position:

Reporting to the MRO Operations Manager the role will support and enable the MRO delivery organisation to deliver maintenance in accordance regulatory requirements. The role will form part of a hangar Integrated Project Team (IPT) supporting the MRO delivery Manager to ensure maintenance activities are fully supported and comply with business processes and procedures. Co-ordinate the implementation and optimisation of company processes to maintain a standardised approach across the MRO. Support the development a culture of continuous improvement within their respective Hangar.

Accountability:

This role is accountable for monitoring, reporting, and improving standards and regulatory compliance within their AOR. Supporting the effective closure and response to non-compliances, safety related events and environmental issues. Support and engage with Continuous Improvement, change and management initiatives within their AOR.

Responsibilities:

• Assigned to a Hangar IPT supporting the enablement of maintenance activities.

• Ensure Hangar standards are maintained, improved, and fully aligned across the MRO with respect to Quality, Safety Cost, d the environment.

• Support the IPT to ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with business processes and procedures.

• Co-ordinate the reporting of safety, quality, and environmental metrics for their AOR, to assist in the identification of trends and opportunities for improvement.

• Single POC for continuous improvement activities within their respective areas to maintain a standardised approach across the MRO.

• Single Point of Contact for all facility related requirements.

• Co-ordinate aircraft movements within the MRO.

• Management of surplus personnel during periods of low load within the MRO.

• Support the allocation of support services including ground support equipment with the Hangar.

• Support their allocated IPT with the completion of Containment, RCA and corrective actions following Safety and Quality events.

• Hangar Point of Contact for audit activities, external contractors, and visitors.

• Assist with the co-ordination of random drug and alcohol testing

• Leading a team with a proven track record of the ability to influence internal/external stakeholders.

• Provision of accurate forecasting and projections for current and prospective maintenance load

• Proven commitment to delivering excellence.
