Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure implementation of company’s data protection framework and program which include policies, procedures and processes.
- Partner with Business, Product, and R&D teams to enhance data privacy features in HRMS and other internal systems , and drive them from original concept through final implementation.
- Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) to assist internal stakeholder in risks or gaps mitigation to achieve regulatory compliance.
- Be the main point of contact within the organisation for staff members, external regulators, and relevant public authorities on issues related to data protection.
- Other duties include monitoring changes to the data protection landscape, annual internal review of processes, maintaining quality assurance of documentation to ensure accountability under relevant data protection laws and regulations.
- Fulfil data subject's requests, handle privacy-related queries and manage data breaches.
- Evaluate the existing data protection framework to identify and rectify gaps and risks, and also implement and manage BIPO’s privacy program.
- Keep abreast of data privacy regulatory developments globally, assess the business's future ventures to identify possible privacy risks, develop & constantly improve best practices in data protection policies.
- Manage the execution and implementation of the privacy and data protection compliance programme .
- Support sales and Account Management teams across BIPO on queries in Client RFPs related to Data Privacy matters.
- Draft, negotiate and review customer agreements containing data protection clauses
- Develop privacy training for business functions to raise employee awareness
- Requirements:
- 5+ yrs of relevant work experience
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- CIPP/CIPM privacy certification is an added advantage
- Strong knowledge of HR domain and HR IT systems an added advantage
- Familiarity with applicable data privacy laws, in particular the Singapore PDPA, fundamental understanding of the EU GDPR , China’s PIPL and other APAC data privacy regulations ( India, Vietnam, Indonesia etc)
- Strong written and spoken communication in English
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving , decision-making and project management skills
