Quality Resource Coordinator
This position is expected to collect and submit reliable data. This is accomplished through high-quality clinical screening, data compilation, documentation and entry. Will work independently and must be able to develop, schedule and prioritize workload to ensure all work is completed. Must be flexible to assist with coverage issues and a team player in consultation with other reviewers. Excellent communication skills are essential since there will be daily interaction with staff about patient condition and documentation. This individual must be assertive and tactful to obtain staff cooperation. Employees providing direct patient care must demonstrate competencies specific to the population served.
Diploma, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and 2 years of acute care experience required
Homecare experience preferred
Licensed Registered Nurse in good standing with the State of Michigan
• Must have working knowledge of medical terminology, knowledge of disease processes and related procedures, and current working knowledge of pathology and pharmacology impacts on care
• Experience in database entry, statistics, quality improvement, patient safety, reimbursement systems and/or management experience preferred
• Must have experience with database, spreadsheet and word processing software
• Must be self-directed and flexible
• Must demonstrate positive relationships with peers ad across departments
• Must possess leadership abilities and promote collaboration
• Must be willing to accept high levels of responsibility and accountability
• Must possess excellent clinical skills, advanced problem solving capability, and be able to act as a role model and teach others in a non-threatening and supportive manner

Work which produces high levels of mental/visual fatigue, e.g., interactive and repetitive or small detailed work requiring alertness and concentration for sustained periods of time, the operation of and full attention to a personal computer or CRT between 40 and 70 percent of the time.
The job produces some physical demands. Typical of jobs that include regular walking, standing, stooping, bending, sitting, and some lifting of light weight objects.
• OASIS locking and submitting
• OASIS tracking and report out to Healthcare Services Team
• Generating reports from third party software, identifying trends, action planning and report out to stakeholders.
• Contacts staff and team members via telephone or written communication
• Serves as an educational resource for internal and external audiences by developing educational material and developing presentations
• Participates in teleconferences with other clinical nurse reviewers
• Attends educational programs pertaining to the program as requested
• Timely communication
• Works collaboratively across departments.
• Performs initial case reviews, abstracts data and appropriately follows-up reviews based on judgment of clinical picture
• Performs concurrent reviews and abstraction of all identified components of the medical records of inpatient admissions
• Interprets clinical information in the medical record,
• Coordinates with all patient care teams to ensure complete documentation is recorded in the patient’s medical record pertinent information to appropriate administrative and medical staff departments
• Identifies quality variances
Driving your own vehicle on a regularly scheduled basis to perform business on behalf of Bronson is required for this position and will require successfully pass of MVR check after an offer of employment has been made but prior to the employee’s start date. Proof of valid auto insurance on that vehicle that will be driven while on duty for Bronson is required. It is the employee’s responsibility to submit auto insurance renewals before current coverage expires to their supervisor. It is also the employee’s responsibility to update their auto insurance coverage with Bronson if a different vehicle will be driven to perform business on behalf of Bronson.
